Psalms 2 - A subtle rebellion
Why do the nations conspire and the peoples plot in vain?
The kings of the earth rise up and the rulers band together against the LORD and against his anointed, saying, “Let us break their chains and throw off their shackles.” Psalms 2:1-3
In today's world, we don't usually see armies rebelling against God and preparing for war against Him and His. However, this is changing. We see modern society flaunting God's principals and turning good evil and evil good. What we have seen over the years is usually, a rebellion that is less dramatic. Many people we know simply ignore God and do life their own way. They go to school, raise their kids, and pay their taxes without the slightest thought of following Jesus Christ. This is suburban rebellion.
