    ABOUT Dr.Marni Wiseman MD FRCPC

    Dr. Marni Wiseman began her Dermatology practice in Winnipeg, Manitoba in 2001. In addition to her teaching responsibilities as an Associate Professor and Section Head of Dermatology in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Manitoba, Dr. Wiseman is the Medical Director of SKiNWISE DERMATOLOGY where she is involved in a general dermatology practice.

    Dr. Wiseman’s areas of interest include psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, hidradenitis suppurativa, acne, and aesthetic dermatology. She actively participates in clinical trials through Wiseman Dermatology Research, where she has participated in over a hundred clinical trials. Dr. Wiseman is a frequent supervisor and mentor for medical students and residents. She has extensively published in areas of inflammatory skin disease, photodermatosis, and cutaneous malignancy.

    Her community commitments are extensive and include involvement with the Canadian Dermatology Association as Provincial Director of the National Sun Awareness Program. She is an editor of the Journal of Cutaneous Medicine and Surgery, and was the chair of the Skin Cancer Disease Site Group at CancerCare Manitoba for 15 years. Dr. Wiseman does regular outreach skin cancer screening clinics in rural locations of Manitoba, has been featured in many news stories, and regularly presents at meetings and congresses nationally and internationally.

    ABOUT Dr.Melinda Gooderham, MD, FRCPC ( Dermatology)

    Toronto, ON

    Melinda Gooderham MD MSc FRCPC Dr. Gooderham is a Dermatologist and Medical Director at the SKiN Centre for Dermatology and an Investigator with Probity Medical Research. She is an Assistant Professor at Queens University and a Consultant Physician at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre. She is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

    Dr. Gooderham has been the principal investigator for over 200 clinical trials and she practices with a focus on inflammatory diseases of the skin. She also contributes to several peer-reviewed dermatology publications as an associate editor, reviewer, and has been an author of 205 articles. She enjoys lecturing to global audiences on new therapies for skin diseases.

     

    ABOUT Dr. Geeta Yadav, MSc, MD, FRCPC ( Dermatology)

    Toronto, ON

    Dr. Geeta Yadav is an expert in both medical and cosmetic dermatology and founder of FACET Dermatology in Toronto. . A second-generation Canadian, her interest in under-serviced communities and treating BIPOC patients was inspired by her childhood travels to India. She holds a master’s degree in International Health from Johns Hopkins and completed her dermatology training at the University of Toronto, where she still teaches today. Dr. Yadav is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, the American Academy of Dermatology, and the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology. She has a special interest in skin of color and has been quoted in numerous main stream publications including the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Allure, Vanity Fair and Cosmopolitan.

    When she’s not working, she volunteers as an Alumni Governor at the University of Toronto. She also loves running, dancing, and spending time with her husband and three young children.

    ABOUT Dr. Marissa Joseph, MSc, MD, FRCPC ( Pediatrics), FRCPC ( Dermatology)

    Toronto, ON

    Dr. Marissa Joseph is a board certified Pediatrician and Dermatologist and completed her Pediatric training at the Hospital For Sick Children, followed by her Dermatology residency at the University of Toronto. She completed a MSc in Community Health at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health.

    Dr. Joseph is full time academic faculty at the University of Toronto. She has received and has been nominated for teaching awards in both undergraduate and postgraduate medical education. 

    Dr. Joseph is the Medical Director of the Ricky Kanee Schachter Dermatology Centre at Women's College Hospital. She also works at the Hospital For Sick Children where she manages children with complex dermatologic disease in outpatient and inpatient settings, as well as a pediatric laser treatment program. Dr. Joseph enjoys her diverse practice in general adult, pediatric and surgical dermatology. Her clinical and research interests include inflammatory skin disorders such as psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, and hidradenitis suppurativa; genodermatoses, and equity, diversity and inclusivity.

    Dr. Geeta Yadav is an expert in both medical and cosmetic dermatology. A second-generation Canadian, her interest in under-serviced communities and treating BIPOC patients was inspired by her childhood travels to India. She holds a master’s degree in International Health from Johns Hopkins and completed her dermatology training at the University of Toronto, where she still teaches today. Dr. Yadav is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, the American Academy of Dermatology, and the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology. 

    When she’s not working, she volunteers as an Alumni Governor at the University of Toronto. She also loves running, dancing, and spending time with her husband and three young children.

    About Dr.Angela Law, MD, FRCPC

    Dr.Angela Law is a dually certified dermatologist in Canada and the US. She completed her medical school training at the University of British Columbia and was accepted into the joint Dermatology program between the University of Saskatchewan and Dalhousie University. She opened SkinSense Dermatology in Saskatoon after residency and practiced medical and aesthetic dermatology for six years before moving back to Vancouver during the COVID pandemic.  

    She is a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Dermatology and Skin Sciences at UBC and sits on the Undergraduate Education Committee in Dermatology. She has a special interest in pediatric and adolescent dermatology but has been trained in all aspects of medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. She splits her time between her new medical clinic with a group of seasoned plastic surgeons at Clinic One Three Eight in downtown Vancouver, aesthetics at Dermapure and a Dermatology rapid access clinic at Mount St. Joseph’s Hospital through Providence Health.

    About Dr.Jaggi Rao, MD, FRCPC  

    Dermatologist  | Edmonton

    Dr. Jaggi Rao is a double board certified dermatologist (Canada and USA) and a certified cosmetic surgeon. He completed his  dermatology training at the University of Alberta, followed by an accredited fellowship with the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery in Southern California. Dr. Rao is a full Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Alberta. 

    Dr. Rao has won several accolades for research and teaching, including the Canadian Dermatology Association’s Teacher of the Year Award.

    In 2011, he was the recipient of Avenue Magazine’s Top 40 under 40 Award. He has authored over 50 scientific papers and textbook chapters, and has been an invited speaker for over 500 lectures worldwide to physicians, other professionals, and the general public.

    Dr. Rao continues to lend his expertise to various organizations. He sits on the board of directors for CAAM( Canadian Association of Aesthetics  Medicine) and acts as a consultant to the government (such as the Canadian Standards Association), laser and pharmaceutical industry, and professional sports teams.

    About Dr.Perla Lansang, MD, FRCPC

    Dermatologist  | Toronto

    Dr.Perla Lansang is head of dermatology at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto, Ontario and is an assistant professor in the Division of Dermatology, University of Toronto.  She has a special interest in pediatric and adolescent dermatology, having done two years of fellowship in paediatric dermatology at The Hospital for Sick Children. 

    At Sunnybrook, she sees general medical dermatology patients and also holds a pregnancy dermatology clinic and also has  a special focus on psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, cutaneous lymphoma, and general medical dermatology. Aside from Sunnybrook Hospital, Dr. Lansang is also affiliated with Women’s College Hospital where she runs a clinic at the Phototherapy Education and Research Centre. She also sees patients at The Hospital for Sick Children, where she has her pediatric dermatology practice.

    Dr.Lansang is also a Skin and Joints Podcast Faculty expert.
