The Unseen Connection: Spine, Psoas Muscle, and Wellness
What if the key to overall well-being, from digestive issues to sleep troubles and even sexual issues, lies within your spine? If there is a muscle in your body that when contracted for long, could cause hip pain, lower back pain or even heel pain, wouldn't you want to know?
Today, we engage in a fascinating conversation with Dr. Danielle Peoples, a skilled author and chiropractic physician, who unlocks the mysteries of the human body and the benefits of chiropractic care.
WE DISCUSS:
- Some of the primary reasons people go to a chiropractor…and why they stay
- Why one would go to a chiropractor if they don’t have pain
- How psoas pain demonstrates itself
- Stories of incredible healing in her practice through chiropractic care

3. In practice - Stability comes first, extension of the limbs to create length and space is second, building range of motion
4. Mind/ body connection
5. Why lying flat is helpful for relieving and understanding back pain. using the pelvic clock face as an alignment tool.

2021 Season Three Highlight show
Welcome to the ALL THINGS PILATES Season Three highlight show.
This Season was a fun one for me and I hope you thought so also. As with Season one and two, there were many opinions expressed about the Pilates method, but this time around there were also insights shared about the Pilates history in photos and magazine articles. There were complimentary modalities presented and how they fit in to the Pilates landscape. Many episodes illuminated the versatility of Joe’s method and his inventions. You also heard from some of my hard working students when asked how the Pilates method had impacted their lives. For your listening pleasure, ALL THINGS PILATES presents the 2021 Season highlight show.

Liz Koch is the creator of Core Awareness, an educational website dedicated to understanding the psoas through enhanced somatic awareness. She’s had 45 years of experience and her unique approach to movement has garnered a large following both nationally and internationally. She says that this bio-intelligent tissue expresses one’s integrity on every level and may be perceived as the guardian of the Hara, commonly referred to as the moving center.
Liz is ever evolving and as a conceptual artist she explores the deep sensory system and the wild wisdom of the psoas. Stalking Wild Psoas is her passion and Changing the Language of Body is her mission.
