Scott Radinsky (Pulley) - ORP Session #60

Scott Radinsky is the lead singer of the band Pulley and you might also know him from his earlier bands Ten Foot Pole or Scared Straight. He was directly involved in the birth and growth of the 1980s "Nardcore" scene (Oxnard, California hardcore), he co-owned a legendary skatepark and skateboard museum and he was a professional baseball player and coach!

In this episode we're talking about all the above, as well as the making of and story behind Pulley's first ever acoustic EP "Different Strings", which they released in May 2021 on SBÄM Records.

    Enjoy!

Why work for death, when you can listen to the very first episode of The Punk Rock Chronicles Podcast instead? This episode features long-time punkers from Long Beach, Dissension. Hosts Stan Mueller and Jeff Feuerhaken gets the goods straight from members Randy Freeman, Matt Vargas, and Eric Salazar, as they recount some anecdotes from their early days, such as being kids hanging out in Black Flag's studio as they wrote the "My War" album, all the way up until the band's recording of their brand new album, "Amazing Disgrace".

A Horrific Dragging MVI Begins and Ends with Mystery

A Horrific Dragging MVI Begins and Ends with Mystery

What started as a routine pedestrian accident quickly took several unusual turns as Vancouver Police revealed the driver didn't know he'd dragged a young woman for nearly six blocks. How was that possible? When an American punk band was later connected and witnesses began coming forward with their stories, the situation only became more confusing as the victim clung to life in hospital, unaware that she would need major reconstructive surgery, a prosthetic eye and a lifetime of recovery.

BTS with CTV Vancouver host Penny Daflos and reporter Emad Agahi take listeners step by step through the twists and turns of this story to the surprising conclusion of what happened that autumn night, a development that still has them baffled.
