Meet Dr. Mecca S. Carter-Marshall
Dr. Carter-Marshall is a Certified Christian Life Coach, Counselor, Survivor Advocate, and Associate Minister at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Springfield, OH. Her doctorate is in Law and Public Policy. Additionally, she holds a B.S. and M.S. in Criminal Justice, and an M.A. in Pastoral Counseling. She is currently pursuing a second doctorate in Clinical Pastoral Counseling, and will be ordained in November 2020.
Dr. Carter-Marshall is an Assistant Professor, Instructor Mentor and Subject Matter Expert at Liberty University and works for OhioHealth Sexual Violence Services as a victim’s advocate. She has served prominently in a volunteer capacity for the NAACP and the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW).
She founded Unspoken Courage, a coaching and counseling business that serves those struggling with past hurts and uncertain futures. Dr. Carter-Marshall's story is featured in the Blessed Not Broken (vol. 2): The Journey to Healing book collaboration project.
