CPG & Retail Mobile Loyalty Platforms with Fetch Rewards' Wes Schroll

The CPG Guys, Sri & PVSB, are joined in this episode by Wes Schroll, co-founder & CEO of Fetch Rewards, a mobile shopping platform that rewards shoppers for buying the brands they love.

    Wes answers these questions:

    1) How did the idea that transformed into Fetch came to be?

    2) So you have this business model that proved to be successful at winning some academic competitions, generating some seed money. How did you take this from a PowerPoint deck and some Excel spreadsheets and turn it into an actual business?

    3) How did you go about getting that first big brand client and what proved to be the key differentiators between existing digital coupon and rebate programs or more traditional promotional mechanisms like FSIs? How does Fetch’s user experience involve less friction?

    4) Could you tell us about some of the key challenges partners are coming to you with? What are they struggling with? And why are they coming to Fetch to solve it?

    5) How does Fetch help brands satisfy their need for purchase attribution data points to fuel CRM, digital marketing and innovation?

    6) You recently announced a comprehensive partnership with the Albertsons Companies. Would you break down how this differs from your CPG brand loyalty building solutions and whether this actually enhances the value proposition to your users?

    7) Fetch has also moved into the restaurant vertical, helping QSRs with loyalty engagement. How did this come about and what is it that you help them do from a targeting and conversion perspective?

    8) What are some of the CPG/Retail industry dynamics that you think will transform consumer loyalty engagement in the next few years and how are you positioning Fetch Rewards to win in these conditions?

Fortuna Düsseldorf in der Futsal Bundesliga - Ist schlicht das Ergebnis der Division zweier Zahlen #15
Mein lieber Herr Gesangsverein.

    VC Chapter 4 - Inspiration

    VC Chapter 4 - Inspiration
Hector was troubled; his new “charge” was bounding upwards and onwards at a tremendous rate. Riding on the crest of a wave. Oh, how he remembered that well. Nothing seemed impossible! Why was he troubled? It was at old gut feeling again - something wasn't ringing true. He searched his memory banks of the last few weeks since they'd been at the “Dam”. Jack's words and body language were out of ‘sync’. His words were all of the right corporate talk - the culture that “failure is not an option.” The tell-tale fumble with his pen, nervous foot tapping and forced laugh.

There was something wooden about the sincerity of his words.

“MMmmm, if I can see the ‘tell-tale’ cues then others will sense it as well.” he mumbled to himself. Jack's team are thoroughbreds and finely tuned – they’ll pickup their leader’s signals subconsciously. That's not the inspirational start he was planning for. “How have I failed him?” Hector reflected.....

The digital accountant - Part 1 - The digital transformation

The digital accountant - Part 1 - The digital transformation
In this podcast, Brendan Sheehan, ACCA council member and CEO of digital transformation company White Squires, explores the nature of digital transformation and how it impacts the accountancy and finance professional. He considers the role that they need to play and why it is relevant. He specifically considers the implications for the finance leaders (as discussed in the companion report, "Digital Leadership: Leading finance digital transformation").

Digital transformation is one of the key conversations around businesses at present. The evolution of the business model has an impact on us as accountancy and finance professionals from the way that we collect, verify and utilise increasing volumes of data.

In a survey with over 4,200 ACCA members, affiliates and students we reviewed the digital skills that a professional needs to be relevant, as expressed by ACCA’s digital quotient; one seven quotients that define the skills needed. In the report, "The Digital Accountant – digital skills in a transformed world," we explore the results and provide guidance on growing the necessary skills and knowledge.

Talk To Women Like A Man - MTP165

Talk To Women Like A Man - MTP165

Why is it men are so concerned about speaking their truth when talking to women? Well, according to returning guest Kim Seltzer's interesting perspective, men and women both tend to complain about the widespread miscommunication between the genders nowadays. This leads to lots of offended people, followed inevitably by pandemic fear of talking to each other. But as it turns out, there's a pattern to how everything tends to fall apart, and it's easy to remove yourself from the cycle...which you'll discover. Next, Kim shares the very foundation for talking to women effectively. It's going to blow you away because it's NOT what you think, and has probably never been talked about anywhere else. Better yet, did you know that talking to women might actually go better for you the LESS prepared you are with something slick to say? But how do you establish that all-important safety and security all the while? Also, what is the most powerful aspect of pickup success that no other pickup advice has ever dared to admit? Plus, discover the one external factor that can instantly increase how effective you are in communicating with women. Ultimately, however, it all comes down to this...is there ever a right time to say to a woman, 'You're going to love my nuts'? #148 - What is your Digital Quotient?

    What's in this episode?

Hello listeners and welcome back to The Edtech Podcast, the show about improving the dialogue between “ed” and “tech” for better innovation and impact.

We kick off this week's episode with our friends at Cool Initiatives to find out more about the CI Education Challenge 2019, why they’re going even more early-stage and details on their 6 finalists.

We continue with our conversations recorded at GESF earlier this year. First up is the highly-driven Dr Yuhyun Park from the DQ Institute, an international think-tank based in Singapore, Korea and the US. Their vision is #DQforAll – empowering every individual with digital quotient (comprehensive competencies to thrive in this digital age) beyond the more talked about IQ and EQ. But what about getting women and girls excited about digital literacy and, more broadly, the sciences? We hear from Global Teacher Prize nominee Emma Russo, a science teacher from the UK whose ambition in teaching has focused on creating and promoting opportunities for girls in physics and engineering.
