Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast #328: Shades of Blue
On episode 328 of the Seibertron.com Twincast Podcast, the discussion kicks off with the prior Tuesday's Hasbro Pulse Transformers Tuesdays reveals. The team spends some time on the upcoming Antagony, Trashmaster, Bludgeon, Strongarm, and the core class Optimus Prime & Bumblebee pack with Trailer, with brief mentions for Dreadwing, Detritus, Bombshell, Snarl, and the Studio Series Ironhide & Prowl pack. Conversation moves to the Walmart-exclusive Toxitron line and G2 reveals of Laser Cycle and Sideswipe, before moving into a robust look at the newly unveiled GI Joe crossover Soundwave, which converts into a Dreadnok Thunder Machine and includes the much-coveted Masterpiece Howlback. The team uses our discussion of the Amazon exclusive Javelin & Cascade pack - both IDW characters - to segue into Skybound Entertainment's new Transformers comic series' inaugural issue Void Rivals #1, and thoughts about previews for the main series expected later this fall. The episode wraps up with a round of Bragging Rights, where each member highlights key additions to their collection since the last episode.

Takara Tomy's exclusive version of Optimus Primal and the creative JAXA Sora-Q tie-in, Lunar Cruiser Prime, are discussed next. In addition, recent reveals of the Dilophocon & JP12 Jurassic Park Crossover set receive some side-eye remarks, and everyone unanimously agrees that Legacy Evolution Shadowstriker is a huge miss on a multitude of levels. The continuation of Transformers' upcoming 40th birthday celebration comes next with the cast sharing their favorites from 1985. As usual, the episode concludes with the recurring Bragging Rights segment where the cast talks about their latest toy and merchandise acquisitions.

Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast #320: Cities in Dust

Recent leaks and official reveals of repainted toys take up the bulk of the airtime next, starting with Takara's upcoming Beast Wars set with a re-decoed Kingdom Optimus Primal and Megatron. A leaked image of a reissue Thundercracker leads in to discussion of other rumored G1 reissues before the discussion shifts to the soon-to-release Titan Guardian Robot from the Generations Selects line. A brief look at an upcoming new Tow-Line figure leaked through a video review closes out the discussion topics, then Bragging Rights wraps up the episode in the usual fashion.

    Mortal Kombat: Annihilation (1997)

    Mortal Kombat: Annihilation (1997)

When listener Ryley moved out of her parents' house for the first time and needed a comfort movie, "Mortal Kombat: Annihilation" was there. We humbly offer this Shat The Movies review to the elder gods in hopes we all someday discover our inner animalities.

From terrible CGI to imbalanced audio, this sequel to 1995's "Mortal Kombat" proved you can't just swap out the cast, throw in a whole bunch of new characters, rip off Sub-Zero's mask and expect video game fans to accept it.

You also can't make Raiden mumble mumbo jumbo while dressed as a suburban dad or kill off Johnny Cage in the first five minutes without clarifying he's actually dead.

Even Mortal Kombat's legendary soundtrack sagged under the weight of Jax's "urban" dialog and Barraka's rubber blades. And just when we thought we'd seen the worst, the dragon fight everyone had forgotten became the final battle nobody could unsee.

Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast #310 "Real Bots Wear Pink"

Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast #310 "Real Bots Wear Pink"
Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast #310: Real Bots Wear Pink
The Seibertron.com Twincast Podcast starts out its 310th episode with a look at the upcoming Generation 1 reissue toys of Starscream and - at last - a pink Hot Rod, with both toys re-decoed to evoke their look seen in the 1986 Transformers Movie. Impressions of Galaxy Shuttle, a forthcoming exclusive in Walmart's Velocitron 500 Generations Legacy subline, follow that before quick impressions are shared of just discovered renderings for Target Buzzworthy Bumblebee exclusives Hound and Hatchet. Media news and notes are discussed next, starting with thoughts on the most recent trailer for Earthspark featuring Megatron and other previously unseen characters. Rise of the Beast casting announcements get a quick look before the show moves back to toy talk prompted by the official reveal of the MPG lineup's fourth entry, the Autobot trainbot Suiken. Time-capsule style listener questions and the recurring Bragging Rights segment round out the episode.

Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast #302 "Fire on the Mountain"
Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast #302: Fire on the Mountain
The 302nd episode of the Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast begins with analysis and impressions of the now-fully revealed Masterpiece MP-57 Skyfire coming next year from Takara Tomy. The MP combiner project for Raiden has also had its third member revealed and made available for preorders with MPG-03 Yukikaze, so it comes up next in the discussion. After that, thoughts about other recently revealed upcoming toys are shared with both the Transformers x GI Joe Collaborative Bumblebee A.W.E. Striker with Stalker and the Legacy Velocitron Blurr, inspired by early IDW Publishing designs, under the microscope. Initial impressions from the first wave of Super7's Ultimates non-transforming figures comes next, accompanied by opinions on the just-announced fourth wave. A listener question prompts a lengthy discussion about the phenomenon of "collecting fatigue" as the cast searches for solutions before the episode concludes with the recurring Bragging Rights segment.

Hard Choices 9 - Mortal Kombat

Hard Choices 9 - Mortal Kombat
Hold onto your sharply brimmed hats, it's MORTAL KOMBAT! Kam Servo, Miles Schneiderman, Dan Mulkerin, and MeganBob are one step ahead of Outworld in this episode, but the true destination for Hard Choices is always "The NetherRealm". Straight from the scantily klad arcade art of our youths, we rank 21 Mortal Kombat kharacters in an attempt to separate the kolor-swapped filler from the ones that make us say "Get over here!".  We kover it all from animalities to Zaterrans and leave nothing untouched in our quest to unlock the median of fuckability in the Mortal Kombat universe.

There's plenty of mashing in this episode and it's not limited to the button variety. We're forced to ask, is four arms the best number of arms? Are we okay with kold feet and kold everything else? Mileena with or without the mask? and wait, THAT'S what Scorpion's animality is???

Midway Games has probably left us with more questions than answers when it komes to the world of Mortal Kombat, but one thing's for sure. We'll never look at the kharacter select screen the same way again...

Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast #292 "Planet of Junk"
Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast #292: Planet of Junk
The 292nd episode of the Seibertron.com Twincast Podcast begins with a round of discussions about recently revealed, and sometimes unofficially leaked, upcoming Transformers toys. The Junkion named Junkyard is discussed first, then the 1986 Movie toy talk continues with Spike and his Exo-Suit. The toy train continues to track after that with impressions of the MPG-02 Getsuei, who also forms the right leg of the Raiden combiner. A quick look at possible Micro Machines of vehicles from the 2007 Transformers movie leads in to more quick impressions, this time for Drag Strip from the soon forthcoming Generations Legacy line. A pair of listener questions leads into a listener suggested segment where the cast takes groups of three and decides which is "fun", what goes in "my collection", and which gets destroyed by "Kremzeek". An extra short round of the recurring Bragging Rights segment then closes out another episode.
