"Telemigration," Bad Journalism, and Scare Tactics

"Telemigration," Bad Journalism, and Scare Tactics

    Key topics:

✔️Making a blanket statement that remote work is "bad" and "everyone knows it" is absurd. This type of thing is opinion masquerading as fact. And it's a lousy opinion in my opinion!
✔️However: scare tactics and corporate-shill-esque op-ed pieces are pretty irrelevant because, as I've said before, I do not think most people will sit at home unpaid to have a quixotic battle against RTO.
✔️Conformity is so important to the system. Believe what you are told. Sit down, shut up, and go with it.

Co-Working in Marrakech. A Journey of Growth!

Co-Working in Marrakech. A Journey of Growth!

In this podcast episode, we explore an amazing Co-Working experience in Marrakech, which proved to be, for me and not only, one of the best personal growth experiences ever.

Living in the heart of Marrakech's city center for two weeks with remote workers from different parts of the world, including Germany, India, Pakistan, South Africa, and Italy, was an incredible cultural and co-working experience. The co-living space at the Riad was a perfect combination of comfort, culture, and hospitality, where we had the opportunity to immerse ourselves in the local culture and way of life.

From visiting incredible sites, including Jemaa el Fna Square, Jardin Majorelle, Essaouira, to spend a night sleeping in the desert, which was a truly magical experience.

However, the best part was the amazing group of remote workers we met and connected with, sharing ideas and learning from each other.

So if you're looking to broaden your horizon and hear about our experience in Marrakech, this episode is definitely worth a listen. So grab your headphones and get ready to be inspired!

    Romantic Notions of Corpo America

    Romantic Notions of Corpo America

Subtitled: Listen to it at your own risk.

     Key topics:

✔️ This one person quit over RTO and you can, too! *said in the manner of "Champagne wishes & caviar dreams" on the old Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous.*
✔️It's not 2021 anymore. The FOMO & YOLO of the markets we saw then is gone now.
✔️"Productivity paranoia" is not going anywhere. Watch that creepy, nightmare-inducing video from the WEF if you think otherwise.
✔️"'You're going to end up losing them anyway,'" she said."  No, you won't. I stand by my track record of accurate predictions. Too many people live paycheck-to-paycheck and have debt for everyone in the US to sit it out with $0 pay. Not gonna happen.

Bonus Episode: How'd That Petition Work?

Bonus Episode: How'd That Petition Work?

"When a boom cycle ends, it can be tough to accept reality. People want the band to play forever. Realtors who tried to convince us that home prices would only go up and we were not in a housing bubble are looking for work outside of the industry. Some of the people in HR trying to hype you up about the job market will find themselves in the same boat as we go further into this mess. You can try to fight The Fed and ignore the broader economy if you want to, but I sure wouldn't recommend it. And on that note, apparently you are supposed to believe that a petition or an angry Slack channel will somehow be enough to stave off RTO forever. Sorry, I don't buy it!"
-"IMO, a petition will not stop what's coming" https://causeyconsultingllc.com/2023/02/23/imo-a-petition-will-not-stop-whats-coming/  published on February 23, 2023.

"In a leaked message, Amazon's HR chief flatly rejected an internal petition against the new return-to-office policy signed by roughly 30,000 employees"

CAVO Ep. 80: Overcoming Feelings of Loneliness in Remote Work

CAVO Ep. 80: Overcoming Feelings of Loneliness in Remote Work

A challenge that is a reality for many who work remotely is battling feelings of loneliness. What can leaders of remote employees do to help alleviate these feelings? How can leaders help remote employees avoid burnout? Drs. Ada Cenkci and Megan Downing, professors at Northern Kentucky University, chat with Melody Rawlings, Director of CAVO, to share rich data from their extensive research on workplace loneliness to answer these question and others.

"Work-From-Home Regulations Are Coming. Companies Aren’t Ready. The growing compliance costs of remote work could push more employers to bring workers back to the office." -MIT Sloan, https://tinyurl.com/2p9atbmh

On October 27, 2022, I published the episode, "Cronyism, Collusion, & RTO: Do Not Be Naïve!" The fat cats work together to enrich themselves.

"Where I think we have to be careful is ignoring the collusion of Crony Capitalism. So it's not that Corpo America is blaming Powell or that Powell is blaming Corpo America. This is where I leave the neocons and the neolibs in the dust to play their partisan games of red versus blue. No, see, I think they COLLUDE TOGETHER TO ENRICH THEMSELVES. The Fed does not surprise Corpo America, nor does Corpo America surprise The Fed. They work together, IMO, to ensure a particular outcome that enriches the fat cats. If you need a refresher on this, remember all the warnings Gordon Gekko gave you about wealth transfer and greedy bankers." -https://causeyconsultingllc.com/2023/03/02/what/
