In this episode, Pamela is sharing her own personal story of experiencing sexual abuse 3 different times beginning at age 5, the addiction to drugs that ensued to numb the pain by age 9, and the 35 years of addiction that ultimately landed her in prison for 18 months in 2010. She helps us better understand those who are incarcerated and the often underlying factors that lead them to prison.

Today Pamela is happily married to her husband, Os, and is founding President and CEO of LifeChangers Legacy, which exists to empower and equip “returning citizens” through her mentor-led programs to eliminate recidivism, reduce homelessness, and restore families.

Mark is talking to Barbara McPherson again, but this time she is in the studio. Barbara is the Reentry Director for St. Vincent de Paul National. Barbara is also an Attorney at Law and graduated from Marquette University Law School.

Today Mark is in the studio with Brian Crase. Brian is an Intern at Ten Mile Christian Church and a student at Boise Bible College. Brian has been working with Mark recently in order to get involved in prison ministry. Brian is in talking about his background and his experiences in ministry.

Today in the studio is Mark DiTaranto. Mike is the Director of the Office of Prison Ministry for the Diocese for Boise. Mike is talking about his role in the state of Idaho as it pertains to prison reform and prisoner rehabilitation.

James is an accomplished business leader and longtime Prison Fellowship volunteer and supporter, who was mentored by Prison Fellowship’s founder, the late Charles Colson. In the studio with Mark today is Ralph May. Ralph May is a Project Manager with St. Vincent De Paul and tasked with developing and running an employment assistance service for ex-offenders recently released from prison. Ralph searches out employers that are willing to hire ex-offenders and assist the clients to connect, support and encourage them in their job search.

Mark is in talking with Roger, someone who has experienced the challenges first-hand of being a "returning citizen". Roger has been working hard to get a job and an apartment and he's speaking to some of the challenges he faces as an ex-con entering back into society.
