    Montgomery, Alabama: Thank you

    Montgomery, Alabama: Thank you

First off before y’all get all twisted…I don’t condone violence. But there are times when violence has to be met with violence. We’ve all heard the phrase Fuck around and find out. What I’m thinking is they thought folks were going to mind their business. They were sadly mistaken. Montgomery you did us Proud. You came to the aid of one of your own. If you’re angry, you’re the problem. Did you not learn to keep your hands to yourself? K bye!

Blennerhassett Island Historical State Park (Home to a Conspiracy)

Blennerhassett Island Historical State Park (Home to a Conspiracy)

Located in the Ohio River is one of the most unique state parks that West Virginia has to offer.  While some of the standard state park attractions such as hiking and fishing will draw some visitors in, it is the history of this fascinating island that will draw most of the visitors.  Home to Harman and Margaret Blennerhassett in the late 1800's, a replica of their home stands today.  The real draw comes from their partnership with Aaron Burr who was full of scandalous events including a major step towards treason according to some at this very island.  So, join us as we head to Parkersburg, WV for this exciting trip.

    Episode 93 - Moselle

This week we are headed to the Queen City - Cincinnati, OH - to discuss the steamboat Moselle, whose explosive loss in 1838 spurred the US Congress to create the first federal legislation governing transportation safety.

    Mark Twain Riverboat (Rec. 2)

A second recording of the Mark Twain Riverboat. I felt like the first recording could be approved upon, but unfortunately this second recording faced some wind noise. Please bear with it as the latter portions are clear of it.

Tolerance. Matthew. Slavery and the 1619 Project. Riverboat.

Tolerance. Matthew. Slavery and the 1619 Project. Riverboat.

I’ve been preaching … about tolerance. We have fits tolerating pain and ill treatment in this life; why do we find it so easy to tolerate sin?

I’ve been reading … Matthew, the first of the four gospel accounts. Matthew is all about the kingdom of heaven. And it’s like no kingdom you’ve ever seen before.

I’ve been hearing … about the 1619 project and the role slavery has played in creating the America we know today. Is Jesus the problem? Is Jesus the solution? I say, none of the above.

I’ve been playing … Riverboat, in which you farm your lands, put your produce on a boat, and sail it down the mighty Mississippi.  And apparently, that makes you a racist.
