Ok, so for this one I took a chance and found a film that both me and Mikey haven't seen before. I vividly remember seeing tv spots during the 1997 MTV VMAs. The casting immediately was my draw, that and being directed by Oliver Stone. Well, suffice to say that we were underwhelmed with this script in particular. The beautiful cinematography by Robert Richardson was particularly striking despite the lacking story.
We did find something to talk about like the amazing desert fashion, interesting music choices, and how this ending was kinda buck wild but fitting.
Off-topic rants include: talking about the movie Scream, Ryan Gosling, and why the upcoming Joker 2 could have been an email

Will and Matt just couldn't get enough of Andy Sidaris, so let's visit the first appearance of Kane! (Played by Pat Morita of Karate Kid fame... later to be replaced by generic white guy...) This has all the staples of an Andy Sidaris film... hardly a plot, a lot of lukewarm love scenes, a few characters that are way too cartoonish to be real... plus Erik Estrada from CHiPS... (this is legit true... and not a joke... Erik Estrada from CHiPS is in this...)
DISCLAIMER: Language and Spoilers!
DO OR DIE

Bring some snacks and buckle up because we're hittin' the road with Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz! That's right, we're covering a quintessential summer classic: The Long, Long Trailer (1954)! A newlywed couple decides to take their honeymoon on a trip across the western country in a new mobile home...only for it to become a pretty "rocky" adventure. We touch upon how the "I Love Lucy" comedians conquered the big screen, why the road movie genre is a recipe for success, and what we love about tiny houses/school bus renovations. This sweet comedy ~"wheel"~ have you rolling with laughter!

Kat is shivering, hurt and volatile, at the edge of her world, both solution and solitude about to stop for her, swing open a red door for her, and take her away from here, anywhere that isn't here...
"The minute there's any blood shed in this place they think you're the reason, Kat - you're somehow to blame - so they're going to get you one day. They want to crush you..."
A solitary voice can be heard through the rustling grass. "Who am I -" it asked, " - who am I if my memories aren't my own..."
Kat wants to find out who the voice belongs to, who he is really and why he singled her out. But she's tired of thinking, remembering.
She just wants to get on with running.
Kat and the man looked at the lump of steaming metal in the road. With the edge of a snakeskin shoe he tipped it to the side and into the ditch. "Car'll maybe run just fine without it." He gave Kat an oddly shy sideways look. "You willing to chance it, you can come along. Room enough..."
This is one of our favorite films growing up so all three of us couldn't wait to quote this film and talk about all the amazing visuals we're still obsessed with. We talk how road movies are just the best, the music that keeps on giving, and the chemistry between the three main actors that works so well.

This film was ALOT. I quickly remembered why I bought this DVD at a video store closing shop ages ago for less than $5. There were so many aspects of this film we forgot about since our recent rewatch. We get into the confusing tone of the story, an undiscovered fashion icon in Michelle Forbes, and literally wonder where this 9 mil budget went.
Off topic rants include bitching about Vogue, stars that aged well, and recent celeb gossip.
