Alors que le nouvel Avatar, réalisé par James Cameron, est sorti dans les salles obscures ce 14 décembre, l'émission Cinéma m'était conté a pris l'initiative de mettre en lumière un immense compositeur du cinéma américain : James Horner. 

Pour cette dernière édition de l'année 2022, notre équipe a décidé de mettre l'accent sur les mondes fantastiques de James Horner. Pour mener à bon port notre programme, nous avons structuré notre émission de la façon suivante (en y ajoutant le minutage pour qui souhaite aller directement au thème choisi) : 

Ouverture : Willow de Ron Howard.

L'espace réel et fantasmé : Les mercenaires de l'espace et Apollo 13 (thème abordé à la 6ème minute).

La grande foire de James Horner : La foire aux ténèbres de Jack Clayton et Rocketeer de Joe Johnston (thème abordé à la 20ème minute).

Aliens et lycanthropes : Wolfen de Michael Wadsleigh et Aliens de James Cameron (thème abordé à la 35ème minute).

Today on the 5: Over the weekend I watched The Rocketeer and was reminded once again why this movie is one of the best comic book films ever made. Man I love it.

When you combine certain ingredients such as a dashing hero, a sultry starlet, and a dastardly villain you have the necessary components for a great tale of heroism. The Rocketeer certainly has all that going for it. But we’re not sure why this movie didn’t reach the heights it’s protagonist, Cliff Secord aimed for.
