A couple Saturday's ago, we had a guest speaker at a men's breakfast, that shared his story...The rise, and failure of a pastor, in sexual sin. His lesson sparked a question. Can and should a pastor that has a moral failure (sin), who is repentant, be restored in the church and in the ministry? This is a great conversation on the topic.

"My 11yo loves Jesus and she loves exploring the Bible, yay! But she has mentioned wanting an NIV translation because it’s easier for her to read. At WEC we read the ESV translation and it’s my favorite based on its accuracy while also being readable. I’m conflicted because if an NIV gets her in the Word more than her current ESV, then it’s good, but I don’t want her to be misguided on some language and phrasing choices I’ve read in that translation. What are your thoughts on different translations of the Bible and where new Christians should start?"
