The Table of Giving: Luke 9:10-17

The Table of Giving: Luke 9:10-17

Tables are one of the most important places of human connection. We often feel most fully alive when sharing a meal around a table. Therefore, we shouldn’t be surprised, to find that throughout the Bible, God has a way of showing up at tables. At the centre of the spiritual lives of God’s people in both the Old and New Testaments, we find a table: the table of Passover and the table of Communion – the Lords Supper. This table of fellowship is what Jesus invites us to with Himself and then, in turn, we invite others to fellowship with us at the table. This sermon series will help us practice the rhythms of this table of fellowship and ensure we grow both in our spiritual lives and as a community.
