    02 - Faith

    02 - Faith

On our episode, all people experience difficulties of one type or another.  Some people have financial burdens and others deal with family problems.  What I love most about here is change - that we mutually support communities who use intuition and healing generously with one another to be each other’s guides.

“Faith is holding on to God’s promises and finding your own fulfilled.”

Spiritual manifesting is when you're flowing, not forcing. It's different from goal-setting, because it's like you're co-creating with the universe.

Spiritual manifesting is a practice that uses the awareness that every ‘I’ is also part of a ‘we’ and that when we connect with this unified field in a conscious and directed manner, you change the world.

It’s the idea that you can bring anything you want into your life, through your thoughts and beliefs. You can practice manifesting to bring more love into your life, a romantic relationship, a great career — anything you are seeking is possible, but the catch is, you have to believe it.”

    Topics discussed on the show:
    ======================

    - How do you actually use manifestation in your own life to better your career, health, love life, goals or life experiences?

    - What is the connection of faith and business?
    - How are you spiritually? How are you as an individual?
    - What is State management?
    - How do you vibrate on a free certain high frequency?

Experiences have the purpose you give them and purpose is one of the most powerful indicators of everything from happiness to longevity.

01 - What is the Evolution Podcast and WHY Should You Tune In

01 - What is the Evolution Podcast and WHY Should You Tune In

    Evolution Podcast is finally here!

We’re excited to be part of this digital growth and I am thrilled and excited to be joining with Mr. Terrance X Johnson and Ethan Heisey in sharing knowledge and how spirituality plays an important role in our lives.

We come together to fulfill our desire to help more people by sharing our thoughts, life experiences, and values so that we can all see the possibilities and start seeing people manifesting their goals in life.

Plus! What we want is to truly make an impact on everyone's life, the young, the old, and everyone in between to show them that you deserve to be successful, that you will be successful! This knowledge should be consumed by the masses.

Ethan and I have our weekly sessions with Mr. J, as a mentor. BUT that's not enough for the world, right? We don't want to keep it all up for ourselves.

Mr. Terrance X Johnson who also believe that, at this stage in life, it's all about giving back. He is mentor and the founder of TCJ AeroTech, the first African-American drone technology company based in the US, Mr. J aims to help various people, businesses and endeavors prosper by applying the use of drones to our everyday lives. The company strives hard to ideally provide the world with various innovations around drone technology in fields such as personal and commercial transportation, aerial surveillance, construction, and many more.

Together with Ethan Heisey who is running a financial firm and another business called exponential freedom where it's a group of entrepreneurs who come to listen to various successful entrepreneurs, speak about how they became successful too.

These days, there were a lot of issues and challenges we're facing as a society, as a civilization.
Life can possibly be easier and lighter when us here can just bring up and spread good vibes, a good energy, a great deal of knowledge and practical wisdom that will give you tangible results, not pine and sky, but things that you can literally do and truly will help you in your life.

Obviously, I'm just very passionate about saying that people can win and become successful and I am telling them the truth.

Being persistent, determined and confident with all of these things really do matter. They're just not empty words. So, I would hope that people would listen to because maybe God or higher consciousness for so many people subscribed to so many different belief systems would guide them if you will, if it would be beneficial to them.

We want it to spread it through as many entrepreneurs as possible, as many people in the world as possible. Mr. J here has such an amazing message out and that’s the kind of our purpose to share with everyone. Because I know we're going to wrap this up here, but we're super excited about this podcast that we have.

"Regardless of what you see in the world. And a lot of it can look terrible. Remember at all times to never really ever alone that your mind is the gateway."

Episode 117: How to Manifest your Goals with The Law of Attraction (w/Joni Rae)

On this week's episode, I am grateful to finally have Joni Rae with us at the Commit First Podcast.
Joni Rae is the founder of The Mindset Group, a boutique leadership development firm that exists to align people and teams, they offer interactive and experiential seminars, coaching programs, and corporate workshops and consulting. Their team has helped hundreds of clients go from overwhelm and chaos to clarity and sustainability.  She's with us to explain and tell us more about the Law of Attraction and how Living in Alignment works.

Working with the law of attraction to manifest your dreams may sound straightforward, but it actually involves careful intention, action, and a degree of surrender. This principle suggests that empty space cannot truly exist, and always needs to be filled by something. As such, it's important to make space for positive change in your life by clearing out negativity.
It tells us that there will always be things to be unhappy about if you look for them, but rather than dwelling on things that are going wrong, finding ways to make things better - is fundamental to shifting your reality into one that attracts what you desire.

That's not to say you can't acknowledge negativity or feel emotions related to it. Rather, it's about doing what you can at the moment to improve any negative situation and letting the rest go. This follows living in alignment with your goals and taking the necessary steps to bring them to life.

#16 Jason Zook - the man who sold his last name and is now selling his future

    Episode #16: Jason Zook

Our guest today is one of the most creative entrepreneurs in the world. We present to you Jason Zook, a guy who made a radical shift ultimately deciding to leave his “beige world" once and for all and embark on one of the most colorful entrepreneurial journeys of our time.

Jason started out by getting companies to pay him to wear their T-shirts for a living. He then sold his last name, twice, and then wrote the world’s first ever fully-sponsored book. Now he is in the middle of what might be his craziest stunt yet. He’s quite literally selling his future, and he’s doing it so he can help creative professionals take action and make money doing what they love.

This is the fourth episode of the second season of the Hacking UI podcast, 'Scaling a Side Project'. In this season we interview designers, developers, and creative entrepreneurs who built and scaled successful side projects  that we admire.

    The Side Project Accelerator
We are launching the second batch of the

Side Project Accelerator in early October. Spots are limited, and we expect it to sell out fast. You can sign up for the waiting list on the program's page and you'll get notified as soon as registration opens so you don't miss it.

    Key points from this episode:

    • Learn how Jason made money as a first-time author, with his book fully sponsored by 204 companies.
    • Understand why it is important to Jason not to copy someone else’s success, but to put his own unique twist on things instead.
    • What does it mean to “steal with pride”, and how does Jason use this in his creative process?
    • Find out how Jason grew I Wear Your Shirt into a successful company by using the strategy of selling first to prove that someone wants to pay for it.
    • Learn why it’s not the first email that matters in growing your business; it’s the follow-up email.
    • How did Jason use his dog to raise money for charity?
    • Find out how Jason got $30,000 in the first 24 hours selling his last name the first time, and $50,000 the second time he sold it.
    • Understand how Jason leverages the talents and skills of freelancers to build and grow his business ventures, pulling on their unique strengths to create a successful team.
    • “The idea is only as good as your ability to get it out into the world and have people pay for it and use it.”
    • Learn how Jason went from having $9 in his bank account to writing a fully sponsored book and making a profit of $75,000 before even writing a single word of it.
    • Find out why Jason strongly believes everyone has the amount of time they need, but that they’re just not willing to sacrifice to work with the time that they have.
    • Understand how finding balance means that life is more than the things that you create and that you just have to figure out what works the best for you.
    • Most people have a scarcity mindset; find out why it is important to understand that there is always more to be had, especially as a creative entrepreneur.
    • Learn why you should not make a product/service perfect the first time and instead get it out into the world so that the improvement can begin.
    • Understand how the exact strategies that can help someone else to their success, may not get you there; personal adaptation and application is key.
    • Find out why one of the biggest mistakes entrepreneurs make is selling their time alongside their products.
    • Learn how growing an audience that believes in your idea is better than “buying” an audience with free giveaways and bonus material; bonus material should instead by used to surprise your loyal audience.

    About The Hacking UI Podcast
The Hacking UI podcast is hosted by Sagi Shrieber and David Tintner, a designer and developer who are also both entrepreneurs, bloggers, productivity/time-hacking maniacs, and all around tech geeks.

We started this podcast off with the 'Scaling a Design Team series' where we spoke with design leaders from top notch companies like Facebook, Apple, InVision, and Intercom, to discuss team structures, responsibilities, and workflows.

A few months ago we quit our day jobs to work on our former side project, Hacking UI, full time. So we found it fitting that our second season of the podcast should touch on that subject. The second season is called 'Scaling a Side Project', and we'll interview creative entrepreneurs that we admire in order to get them to share their tips, experiences and secrets to success.

#15: Tal Perry (Citi, Smart Scribe) - The goat herding, algorithm cracking, autodidact

Episode #15: Tal Perry This is the third episode of the second season of the Hacking UI podcast, 'Scaling a Side Project'. In this season we interview designers, developers, and creative entrepreneurs who built and scaled successful side projects  that we admire.

Today’s guest is a very special type of person. He’s not your regular entrepreneur and definitely nor your standard developer.

We sit down with a good friend and a side project hacker, Tal Perry. He’s an entrepreneur but currently works at a large company, a developer, and a serious autodidact.

Tal’s side project is focused on developing an automated transcription software called Smart Scribe. In the episode we cover a range of topics from working on complex mathematical algorithms all the way to cuddle puddles at Midburn, the Israeli Burning Man festival. Tal even goes into detail about how to measures success, and what type of ROI he got from spending his vacation goat herding.

    • What does freedom really mean in a startup? Find out why Tal believes having the freedom to dream can be both a blessing and a curse.
    • Find out why working for a big company can be a great place for personal growth, beyond what you can learn in a startup.

    • Why is it important to build your personal brand? Find out how a strong brand can lift you a level higher, even when your side project has failed.
    • See why Tal measures his success by the ROI of learning and the experience that he’s gained from each project.

#13: Bryn Jackson (Spec.fm) - building & scaling a podcast network to more than 5 million downloads

Episode #13: Bryn Jackson This is the first episode of the second season of the Hacking UI podcast, 'Scaling a Side Project'. In this season we interview designers, developers, and creative entrepreneurs who built and scaled successful side projects  that we admire.

Today we are excited to have Bryn Jackson on the show. Bryn is the co-founder of Spec.fm, which features the popular podcasts Design Details, Developer Tea, and more.

Bryn calls himself a designer and developer, who builds things for designers and developers. After studying music at the Berkley College of Music, Bryn started his career working at a print company as a professional “Mac fixer”. He later started designing software solutions for common problems that he had seen, and was hired on as a UX designer. Originally from Minnesota, Bryn is currently located in San Francisco and also works at Figma, the increasingly popular design tool. This was an inspiring an educational discussion for us, as Bryn talked about growing the Spec community and how he built a network of multiple podcasts that hit the huge milestone of more than 5 million downloads.

We recorded this session during our trip to San Francisco, and Bryn was nice enough to invite us over to his apartment to record in his incredible studio. You can get a peak into the studio in the clip below:

    • What was the strategic decision behind Bryn’s idea to grow Spec.fm the way that he did, through collaboration?
    • Learn why Bryn’s focus in partnerships is creating a good outcome, and that if he knows that it is possible then he will pursue the collaboration in anyway he can.

    • What does it meant to “skate to where the puck is going”, and how can this help you to stay in the forefront of the design industry?
