How Do Catholics Read the Bible? - How to Speak Catholic - Episode 0025

First, sorry about the audio - I was trying a new setup, and apparently, I need to make some improvements.

In this episode, we touch on how the Church set up Scripture for the purposes of the Mass and how the Church has provided a means for us to get the most out of Scripture, "God's love letters to us."

Lectio Divina (Lectio, Meditatio, Oratio, and Contemplatio) are covered, as well as a brief lesson in Salvation History and typology.

Join us, you won't regret it!

Falling in Love with God, Leading Bible Studies, and Covenants in Scripture

Falling in Love with God, Leading Bible Studies, and Covenants in Scripture
Fr. Josh answers questions on the process of falling in love with God and building a real relationship with him, ways to lead Bible studies with your family, and the meaning of covenants in Scripture. Snippet From the Show Throughout salvation history, humans have broken the heart of God. However, covenants in Scripture reveal to us God’s indissoluble love for us that never strays though we may stray from him. Text “askfrjosh” to 33-777 to subscribe to Fr. Christianity as the One True Religion // Episode 28

Christianity as the One True Religion // Episode 28

Wherein Joseph will present on how Christians can maintain that Jesus is Who He said He is, which means the Church is who He said she is.
Chesterton is referenced a bit-- I always recommend starting with Orthodoxy with him. Brant Pitre's The Case for Jesus is an excellent reference as well. I also recommend being familiar with all of salvation history-- at some point, I'd like to write a good reference book for you for that.
Also, this is the last apologetics episode we'll do for awhile, unless there is clamor for more.
