Diwali is a festival of Light, and is one of the favorite festivals of Hindus which falls every year between the months of October-November.  It is celebrated with joy all over India venerating Lakshmi, the Vedic Goddess of prosperity.  Lakshmi inspires much devotion. Many of her names, Padma, Kamala, and Ambuja refer to the lotus.  The lotus has powerful symbolism.  While its roots are in the mud, its stalk rises clearly through the murky water, with its petals blossoming above, untouched by the mud.  It is a symbol for rising above the material world through divinity, of being good in midst of negative influences.  Like the lotus, the Goddess of Prosperity, Lakshmi, shows us how to access material wealth, or transcend it to gain spiritual progress. She is often shown with four hands, which are mean to represent the four goals of life according to the Vedas:  Kama (love), Artha (wealth), Dharma (right purpose) and Moksha (liberation).
Lakshmi wears a red sari, with gold thread, representing wealth, beauty and fertility. Coins rains down from her palms, as she smiles blissfully.

This episode honors the Goddess of Prosperity, Lakshmi, during her Festival, Diwali, the festival of Lights. This year, Diwali, falls at the New Moon Solar Eclipse, so we need to mitigate the eclipse by chanting Lakshmi Mantras.  Lakshmi is the Goddess in Vedic Pantheon, who brings all types of prosperity and wealth when she is propitiated.  We are in Eclipse Season (listen to my previous podcast on the Eclipses of October-November 2022). These eclipses are impacted the money signs of Taurus and Scorpio in Western Astrology.  Many are predicting dire economic times ahead with more recessionary and inflationary fall out.

Dhana Lakshmi (Wealth Lakshmi) is Lakshmi in her form as the goddess of material wealth. Her mantra translates to: "Saluting She who bestows noble material wealth."

Dhanya Lakshmi (Grain Lakshmi) is the form of Lakshmi who represents the wealth of agriculture.  She blesses with the wealth of good crops and proper nutrition.  If someone is trying to figure out what diet is best for them they should chant to "Dhanya Lakshmi," as she is the one who provides means of and for nourishment.

Gaja Lakshmi (Elephant Lakshmi) is the giver of grace and wealth of animals. Her mantra translates to "Saluting Sh who bestows appropriate wealth."

Santana Lakshmi (Eternal Lakshmi) is the goddess's manifestation who bestows children. Her mantra secures Her Crace by bestowing wealth in the form of noble children with good health and long life.  "OM SRI SANTANA LAKSHMIYEI NAMAHA"

Dhairya /Veera Lakshmi (Courage Lakshmi), or Veera Lakshmi (Valourous Lakshmi), is a form of Lakshmi inspired by Durga. She is the form of the goddess who bestows valour during battles, and courage plus strength for overcoming difficulties in life.

October augurs apprehension and unease, as if the other shoe is about to drop, and Plutonian tensions are ready to pop. Trying to keep things mellow and chill at the Aries Full moon on October 9 will be challenging as Pluto goes direct the day before on October 8th after months of retrograding. Eclipse season begins at month’s end at the Scorpio New Moon Solar Eclipse on October 25th.  The Libra pendulum swings erratically back and forth seeking peace between polarities in early October  Three retrograde planets (Mercury, Pluto & Saturn) turn direct this month amping up the intensity! The witches brew is is stewing with collective unrest, as we prepare for October’s spooky scenarios!

`October swoops in like a Halloween bat, ready to scare the bejesus out of everyone, when Mercury goes direct on October 2nd followed by powerful Pluto pulsing forward on October 8th. Let the games begin! as October ushers in eclipse season at month’s end.  The beginning and end of October are especially busy with lunar activities and planetary transits.  Mid-October is the integration of Mercury and Pluto transiting direct, and the Aries Full Moon. Pluto transiting direct intensely spins the karmic and cosmic wheels forward. Release even more, transform and transmute, make way for the new! 

Astro antics amp up on October 23rd as three major transits hit. Scorpio season slides in with the Sun transiting into the serpent’s lair, lighting the ecliptic energies. Venus slinks into Scorpio the same day, and Saturn turns direct in Aquarius.  It is a fixed sign cluster****!   with Sun, Venus and South Node in Scorpio, North Node and Uranus in Taurus, and  Saturn in Aquarius

October Full Moon occurs in Aries with the Sun in Libra on October 9th right after Pluto goes direct. Aries is a fiery full Moon, stirring up the cauldron of collective unease and discontent.  Sun enters Scorpio on October 23rd, the same day that Saturn goes direct in Aquarius, and two days before the Solar Eclipse of October 25th.  

Saturn in Aquarius moves direct on October 23, while the Sun and Venus slink into Scorpio, on the same day. Women’s rights are back in the forefront, and women take back their power to challenge the old school Saturnian boys club. Saturn in Aquarius is itching for revolution and changes in societal structures. 

On October 25, 2022 there will be a Partial Solar Eclipse 6:49 am ET.  The New Moon Solar eclipse in Scorpio, is a partial eclipse - so the darkness is less, but the shadows are looming .  Perhaps many feel their wealth has been eclipsed at this new moon with the rising costs of everything and drops in stock market and crypto currency markets. The Sun & Moon in Scorpio are conjunct Venus, during this Solar Eclipse.  With Venus implicated in this eclipse, Love and Money will be on everyone’s minds.

 Increasing shortages, crazy cryptocurrency cycles, and collective unrest play out from November 2021 through January 2022! Welcome to Eclipse Season! Nothing is as it seems during Scorpio season, and much will be revealed during the eclipse window. New Moon in Scorpio kicks off the month on November 4th, spiking crypto markets, and amping up the intensity of intrigues! 

Here are the Key dates in NOVEMBER 2021: 
November 4 :  Scorpio New Moon
November 10:  Mercury conjuncts Mars   & Mars & Mercury square Saturn
November 13 & November 17: Mercury and Mars oppose Uranus
November 19: FULL MOON Lunar Eclipse with  Sun in Scorpio/Moon in Taurus
November 29:  Mars in Scorpio trines Neptune in Pisces

Scorpionic Sun and Lunar rays, with planets Mars and Mercury in the sign of the snake, ignite Numinous November days and nights.  The veil between worlds is thin  as is the line between the truth and illusion. . New Moon in Scorpio slides in on November 4, 2021 at 5:14 pm with Sun, Moon and Mars slinking together in Scorpio.   What will be revealed?  

This Scorpio New Moon is opposed to Uranus in Taurus, so money markets will be volatile and spiking.  The current news stories will reflect erratic financial markets, and economic disturbances.  At this time hidden information becomes revealed, which sheds light on missing pieces of the puzzle. 

This New Moon occurs at 12 degrees Scorpio with the Sun & Moon (and Mars) conjoined at that degree.  According to the Sabian Symbol system of  archetypal descriptions of the 360 degrees of the Zodiac: SCORPIO 12): AN OFFICIAL EMBASSY BALL.
KEYNOTE: Group-consciousness, as it flowers at the highest level in cultural interchanges between representatives of the elite of the ruling class.

Saturn in Aquarius and Uranus in Taurus, however, will upset that apple cart as it blocks the continuation of certain policies overseeing the wealth and health of others. Saturn in Aquarius seeks reform in societal structures. Uranus in Taurus offers alternatives to wealth control as currently witnessed by mainstreaming and growth of Cryptocurrency.  

Lines in the sand are drawn on November 10th as a square forms (tense aspect) between Mercury and Mars in Scorpio vs. Aquarius Moon and Saturn. This astrological energetic spar will trigger tempers and frustrations, as everyone wants things to go their way.  Mars and Mercury may talk a good game, but Saturn wants to see the proof in the pudding.

FULL MOON LUNAR ECLIPSE with the Sun in SCORPIO and Moon in TAURUS occurs on NOVEMBER 19 at 3:57 am EST. 

Finances need to be reevaluated and reinvented at this full moon.  Pluto in Capricorn harmonizes with Sun in Scorpio and Moon in Taurus, offering a business-like approach to dealing with our economic health. Tightening the belt will be required in 2022, as Pluto in Capricorn will be joined by Venus, Mercury and Sun all traveling through the thrifty sign of Capricorn at the onset of the New Year.  

Scorpio and Taurus polarity at this full moon triggers our value system.  What do we value most in our life - money, time, health and vitality? What do you value the most right now in your life, and how can you bring more of it to you?  

At month’s end, Mars in Scorpio trines Neptune in Pisces, offering a release from tension, and perhaps an escape into altered states whether achieved through spiritual means or substances.  Many may feel on overload as the holidays season is upon us, and desire to retreat from the fray of collective cray cray.
