Sermon Notes: I. Stand firm by realizing the freedom you have in Christ. (1) II. Stand firm by rejecting all forms of human effort as contributing anything to your salvation. (2-4) a. Submitting to slavery means forfeiting the benefits of belonging to Jesus. b. Submitting to slavery means obligating yourself to an impossible standard. c. Submitting to slavery means rejecting God’s grace. III. Stand firm by relying completely upon God’s grace. (5-6) a. Have faith that the Spirit of God will finish what He started. b. Have faith that Jesus is all that is necessary. c. Have faith that works, not faith in works.

The ascent of Paul's argument in the book of Galatians reaches it's apex in this chapter. Here, Paul continues his impassioned declaration of Christian freedom. But up until this point, he has only written about what we've been set free from. In this section though, he shifts to what we are free for.
