How do you handle life when it seems it isn't going your way? When we encounter moments and circumstances that do not line up with our expectations of my Christian life, we are often left with doubts about our journey, calling, choices, etc. It may be when a tragedy hits or when we pray for someone that we hope will be healed and they are not. We are left with questions about God's goodness and power. In such moments, what do we do with our questions? As we continue in our series, Good Dirt, we are going to meet someone very close to Jesus who had struggled with these questions as well. He looked at his life and wondered why God was not at work. And we are going to learn something about our own and how we should respond.

“Why is this happening God?!” We all face tragedy and disappointment and a natural response is to question God’s character and actions. In today’s passage from Luke 7:18-23, a spiritual titan questions Jesus and Jesus’ response is an invitation to us in the darkest times.
