Fatih is essential to the Christian life. We began our walk by faith, we continue by faith and we finish well by faith. In this message, Pastor Brad Weir shares about the experience Jesus had with those from his home town limiting their experience of God's power by their unbelief. Jesus was there to help, heal and teach them the way God's Kingdom and their unbelief hindered God's activity among them. And at this, Jesus marveled. We also see Jesus in the gospels marvel at the faith of a Centurion solider (Luke 7:9). Without faith one cannot please God (Hebrews 11:6), yet with it one can live a life that is well pleasing to Him. Faith matters.

Why did some of the people gladly receive what he said and believed who he was, while others just could not accept him or his word? We have the same issues in our world today. What if you only heard part of the words someone was speaking to you? Would you benefit from the conversation? What if you intentionally tuned them out? The people of Nazareth had tuned out Jesus to the point that He could no little or no miracles. What happens when people tune God out?

Jesus returns to his hometown of Nazareth. This is his second trip back home, and like his first (Luke 4), he is rejected by the people of Nazareth that he spent the first 30 years of his life. In their rejection of Jesus, we hear a warning for us, to not allow familiarity with Jesus lead us unbelief in Jesus. Listen as we study Mark 6:1-6

Jesus was misunderstood, hated, and loved... but in His hometown... He met with unbelief that astonished Him. Are we people of faith?

We see the desire of Christ to minister hindered by unbelief
