Real revival is not manufactured, it’s not manipulated, and it’s not man-centered. Revival is the outpouring of God’s Spirit on people who genuinely desire to submit themselves to Him more completely. Here's what we've studied in the text together regarding revival: - The people are called out and set apart. [chtp. 7] - The Word of God is read and studied. [chtp. 8] - The people are convicted of their sin. [chtp. 8] - The people remember and celebrate God’s faithfulness. [chtp. 9] - The people confess and repent of their sin. [chtp. 9] - And in chapter 10 we see another important aspect of revival – commitment. God’s people were separating themselves from the world and to the ways of God. * They’d separated themselves from the practices of idolators. * They’d separated themselves to the Word of God. The Sabbath is ultimately about faith, and the point of the Sabbath is to be people who trust God completely. Can you look at your life and say, “I live for the Lord” in every area?
