    Episode 151 - Super Brains!

For this episode we decided to explore the "we only use 10% of our brains" myth by watching some cranium-expanding films. Turns out these filmmakers were only using 10% of their energy making these movies. Still some interesting stuff though, and we kicked things off with a new Netflix release that was sweet enough to almost make up for our disappointing theme movies.

IN THEATERS AKA YOUR LIVING ROOM

The Half of It - A charming new take on Cyrano de Bergerac; definitely worth checking out on Netflix!

    THEME MOVIES

Charly - Maybe we need to actually read Flowers for Algernon.
Senseless - SO stupid and offensive, but Anne didn't hate it for some reason.
Limitless - The best of the 4 by far but not as good as it could be. Thanks, straight white men.
Lucy - Inexplicably, inexcusably bad. Why are ScarJo and Morgan Freeman in this??

    Episode 109 - Senseless Killings

    Episode 109 - Senseless Killings
The guys start on a serious note with the death of Nipsey Hussle, move on to sex scandals, and by the end Jerry's ready to try cocaine. Wholesome family fun!

Conspiracy theories swirl over Nipsey's death, but before anyone blames "big pharma," Jerry brings it back to his own life-changing experience at the LA morgue. The Wannabes weigh in on the ever-growing problem of needless deaths.

Then: Sex scandals! Knicks center Kristaps Porzingis is accused of rape, a Russian boxer is accused of sexual assault, and our very own Jesus Sepulveda was accused of some lowdown shit back in high school.

Finally, no one knows where to buy actual men's clothes anymore, which somehow turns into drug talk.

    Episode 217: Jack Womack

    Episode 217: Jack Womack

On today's show I talk to author Jack Womack. Originally from Lexington, Kentucky, Jack moved to New York in 1977, and his first novel Ambient was published a decade later. Ambient was the first in his "Dryco" series which includes Terraplane, Heathern and Elvissey, which he won the Philip K Dick Award for. He's also written a number of other great books like Random Acts of Senseless Violence and Let's Put the Future Behind Us. Jack may or may not fall under the rubric of "cyberpunk", depending on who you ask, but he has been called William Gibson's favorite author.

    #196: Far and Away (@NickDipaolo)

Nick DiPaolo met me in the damn soundbooth at The Stand (I've really started doing these just about everywhere, huh?) to talk about life in the sticks of Westchester. Nick is from Boston, lived in New York for probably almost 2 decades, and now he lives up there. He's a guy I always looked up to as a comic so it was nice to get him on.
