Episode 350: Ryan Lott of Son Lux

Episode 350: Ryan Lott of Son Lux

On today's episode I talk to composer and musician Ryan Lott. Born in Denver, CO, Ryan began playing music when he was relatively young. His first album as Son Lux,  At War with Walls & Mazes, was released by Anticon in 2008, and since then they've recorded three other albums, We Are Rising in 2011, Lanterns in 2013, and Bones in 2015. In 2014, Ryan collaborated with Sufjan Stevens and Serengeti as the band Sisyphus, releasing a self-titled album that year. As a composer, Ryan has scored the soundtracks for a number of films, including Mean Dreams, Paper Towns, and The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby. This Friday, City Slang will release Son Lux's latest album Brighter Wounds (and it is great!).

Episode #78 - "America's Roller Coast" with Zach Pugh

In this episode, the Goods from the Woods boys and their hilarious guest, comedian Zach Pugh, take a trip back to the unfortunately-named Ohio city of Sandusky and talk about Zach's job working at a Chick-Fil-A in the middle of Cedar Point Amusement Park aka "America's Roller Coast". We talk about rides, hijinx, and much more! Give this one a listen. You're gonna love it! Follow Zach on Twitter @ZachPugh.

    Nothing New?

Jaspa’s Journey is all about travel and adventure. Nothing new there, you might think. But that’s where you’d be wrong. Because Jaspa’s Journey combines these two common themes in a totally unique way.

Firstly, there’s the Jaspa’s Journey Books. Written by Rich Meyrick, these thrilling novels are largely based on real places I’ve visited and the things I experienced along the way. They blend adventure and travel into exciting stories you can really lose yourself in, no matter how old you are.

Then there’s the ongoing, real-life Travel aspect of Jaspa’s Journey. Whether it’s the regular updates in the Travel section here on my website, on my WordPress blog (Jaspa’s Journal), or through my other social media accounts (see the Contact section), it’s all in my own words and from my own distinctive perspective. And don’t forget the ever-growing Gallery, capturing my travels on camera.

Almost daily, interactive tales from the star of a series of electrifying, award-winning novels for young and old. That has to be a first.

And you thought there was nothing new about Jaspa’s Journey!
