Pastor Mike continues in the study of 1 Peter beginning Chapter 5. Peter has been addressing the suffering all Christians are called to go through in this life. Not because it's God's pleasure to see that but because it is due to the choice man made to sin and separate themselves from the face-to-face relationship with God. We review briefly three major causes of suffering spoken of throughout the earlier chapters of Peter and all throughout scripture. In chapter 5 Peter now turns the corner to discuss the example of how leaders are to show the world how a Christian undergoes suffering in a way that leads to Jesus as our only true source of hope and peace in the midst of it all.
