PLAYBOYS MOST REVERED STAFF PHOTOGRAPHER: STEPHEN WAYDA - CELEBRITY PICTORIALS - PAMELA ANDERSON - ANNA NICOLE and More!

Stephen Wayda: PLAYBOYS REVERED PHOTOGRAPHER for 30 YEARS

Internationallypublished photographer best known for his demonstrative images of celebrities, women. and lifestyles.  In his creation of entertaining and compelling images he is regarded as a master in the use of composition and light, both natural and artificial.

Wayda’s photographs of A-list celebrities, Pop Culture icons, supermodels, musicians and the “girl next door” are a depiction of personality and, most of all, attitude. He is known for his use of light and composition to create a mood of realism that captures the intimacy and openness of his subjects, bringing out those fleeing moments of their humanity and their sense of self.

At Playboy, where he photographed the most celebrities, covers, women and pictorials in the magazine’s history, he was joined by many of the world’s most influential, celebrated and noted photographers in creating iconic, controversial and celebrated images.

His photographs have been sold and exhibited at Christie’s, Art Basel, the Aspen Art Festival, Mutual Art, Boetto Auction House, Gallery M, Kavachnina Contemporary and currently PICKHOBI Gallery Istanbul.

As a contributing photographer for Playboy magazine, Playboy Publisher Hugh M. Hefner stated:

"For over 30 years Stephen Wayda has shared my dream and vision. From an inauspicious start at Playboy, he has become the most published photographer in the history of Playboy. His photographs have helped Playboy in changing the way the world looks at women, and changed the way women look at the world. His influence on photography cannot be overstated. His evolving styles, his sense of sexuality coupled with the personality of his photographic subjects brought the Playboy dream, from the fantasy of decadence and passion in Paris, to the charm of the girl next door in the wheat fields of Texas, to life."

We are so grateful for Stephen. For his insight, his history and his stories. Most of all we applaud Stephen for the epic photos he's captured for 30 + years. This was an incredibly fun and insighful interview, with a legend that we both had the honor of knowing and working with!

With Gratitude - Echo and Corinna

Total Recall feat. Matt Bors & Ben Clarkson *TEASER*

Get access to this entire episode as well as all of our premium episodes and bonus content by becoming a Hit Factory Patron for just $5/month.

Matt Bors & Ben Clarkson, creators of the excellent sci-fi/action satire graphic novel 'Justice Warriors' join to talk about one of our main guys - Paul Verhoeven (aka Pauly V) and his landmark sci-fi/action satire 'Total Recall' starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and based on the Philip K. Dick story "We Can Remember it for You Wholesale".

We discuss the film's long gestation period under several different producers and directors, most notably as a project for Hit Factory fave David Cronenberg. Then we go long on the film's startling prescience, it's themes of revolution against the extractive brutalist of an imperialist force, and Verhoeven's metatextual commentary on filmic reality as psycholgical mirror and wish fulfillment fantasy. Elsewhere, we discuss the dire 2012 Len Wiseman remake starring Colin Farrell and how it betrays and insults its audience by stripping away any and all subtext.

Check out Matt & Ben's graphin novel, Justice Warriors.

    Hard Boiled & Basic Instinct

    Hard Boiled & Basic Instinct
Fans of lewdness and vulgarity: look no further! This edition of Overlapping Dialogue, in continuing our journey through the loud and proud 1990s, spotlights two of the decade's most stylish entries with Hard Boiled and Basic Instinct. But before we dive face-first into the carnage, our Blue Plate Special sampling forces us to confront the passing of iconic (albeit fictional) TV and screen legend Rick Dalton, offer up some brief thoughts on new releases Hypnotic and Peter Pan & Wendy, and analyze from afar a host of headlines emanating from the 2023 Cannes Film Festival. After trashing Jonathan Debt (enemy of the pod) yet again for his latest spewing of excrement, we arrive to our pulpy double feature presentation: listen as we marvel at the gleeful insanity of John Woo's wild Hong Kong actioner and savor the paperback profundity intrinsic to Paul Verhoeven's direction of stars Michael Douglas and Sharon Stone. As always, please like, subscribe, rate, and review us on all of our channels, which include Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and YouTube! JEFF'S HADLEY GAMBLE LEAVES HIM A SHELL OF HIS SELF 4.24.23

JEFF'S HADLEY GAMBLE LEAVES HIM A SHELL OF HIS SELF 4.24.23

EPISODE 184: COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN

A-Block (1:42) SPECIAL COMMENT: Fani Willis has a batch of texts from the Georgia Voting Machine Access scandal so powerful she could indict at least two Trump minions now - probably Rudy Giuliani and Sidney Powell right now - and maybe Trump himself because he knew about the plan as Giuliani pitched it a month earlier in the Oval Office as Trump listened. The good news/bad news is that nothing is touching Trump's popularity among Republican primary voters: 46% back him outright; 66% have him as their first or second choice. How could that be good news? DeSantis is NOT a successor. There is no successor. This could all die with him. The only cloud on the horizon? Dianne Feinstein. Not only can't Dick Durbin subpoena Clarence Thomas or John Roberts but when he was to humiliate himself by inviting Roberts to a hearing, Roberts doesn't even reply to his letter - he has a flunky do it for him. All this because Feinstein isn't there and rumored to be REALLY not there. The solution is simple: write up her resignation, forge her signature, and if she's lucid, she can protest and stop it. This isn't a game. For much of the Senate day Democrats do not have a majority because they're treating her like a beloved teacher fading out from a prep school somewhere. This. Is. Metaphorical. War.

B-Block (19:47) WORST PERSONS IN THE WORLD: A nice racism tie between basketball's Phil Jackson and NC Lt. Governor Mark Robinson (who wants his fellow African-Americans to PAY reparations), Senator Hawley and his tiny manhood, and of course Elon Musk, who over the subject of checkmarks just Blue himself. (25:10) BREAKING NEWS: NBC fires my lying ex-friend Jeff Shell as CEO - for lying. Deadline.Com reports he had an affair with a CNBC Correspondent, Hadley Gamble - the woman Russian state TV once accused of trying to distract Vladimir Putin with her "sex appeal" - and compared her to Sharon Stone CROSSING HER LEGS IN BASIC INSTINCT. I'm so full of Schadenfreude I actually sing "The Ode To Joy" in the original German.

C-Block (34:30) EVERY DOG HAS ITS DAY: Tobias in California. (35:30) THINGS I PROMISED NOT TO TELL: If the Shell news isn't fun enough, CNN and Chris Licht make his biggest mistake yet. There are nine laws of cable TV news and the new Gayle King/Charles Barkley show will violate ALL NINE OF THEM.

How did I go my entire life up until this point and not see Casino? Well, you''re in luck because that is the case for both me and Mikey on this episode. We get into our first time thoughts, literally have a fashion panic about the costume design, and find some of the best quotes that we'd like to incorporate in every day life.

Ok our off topic rants got pretty wild including: Scream 6 predictions, Prince Albert piercings, and why I love Robert DeNiro
