    037 - Israel vs. Palestine: IT'S OKAY

    037 - Israel vs. Palestine: IT'S OKAY

I struggled putting my words together for this week's regular episode, which was supposed to be chapter 5 of my book, because this situation in the Middle East has been dominating my thoughts. I got into some heated arguments (again) with my family. And it wasn't even my Muslim family members that I clashed with, but rather, my Christian siblings. And this disturbed me. So I felt compelled to give my perspective on the situation. Who occupied the land first? And who does it belong to now? What are the facts, and should we take sides? And what does all of this have to do with end times and spiritual attack by the enemy? Have a listen, and please share it around if you feel led.

In this episode, I mention Pastor Skip Heitzig's video sermon: Israel or Palestine: Who's Right?

I also suggest listeners check out my podcast episode from back in the summer:

2022-Q2-05 Lesson Review: All Nations and Babel

"All Nations and Babel" — Review of Lesson #5 of the 2nd Quarter of 2022 -

The Sabbath School Lesson study guide can be found here:
    https://ssnet.org/lessons/22b/less05m.html

The title of this quarter's theme is: Genesis: The Book of the Beginning

Genesis provides us with the only authentic account of how life came to be on planet earth, how sin originated here, and what God plans to do about it.  Creation, the Fall, and the Redemption are all covered here. This is a foundational book, and sets in place many principles for understanding the rest of God’s Word.

During many of our podcasts, you will hear us make reference to “The Key Principles of Effective Bible Study,”  a document which outlines core concepts shown in the scriptures that will help you better understand many Biblical themes and doctrines.  We have done a whole podcast series on these principles which  can be found here.

Lastly, we recommend that you check out https://TrueWisdom.buzzsprout.com for additional Bible Study podcasts, covering many different Bible topics, and done in a slightly different format from the podcasts on this channel.

We pray that all of these resources will be very helpful to you in your Bible Studies.

011 - The Beginning of Nations

011 - The Beginning of Nations

In this episode, we’re going to look at what happened to the sons of Noah after the flood. In the process, we’re going to see again that genealogies are simply a dry list, but make important contributions to the development of the Story. And by the end of today’s episode, we’re going to see that what happened at Babel was just as catastrophic as the flood.

S1.58 - To Unite the Knowing

S1.58 - To Unite the Knowing

It's our most intangible episode yet as we return to the godmill to question the concepts of the humanoid frame and the tri-part model of the Knowing nature. Come get confused with us!

Talking points: Jason Momoa, three-person house building, Tennessee alignment, the Enneagram, Virgil, sandbox messes, and life coaches.

    Genesis 9: A Resurrected Garden

    Genesis 9: A Resurrected Garden

This is a condensed service recording of Saint Athanasius Church in Fort Collins, CO on April 21, 2019. It consists of a confession exhortation, sermon, and charge. The SD card ran out and only the secondary audio was able to record most of the service. Also, a minor correction: the first thing that happened after the Ark landed was the releasing of the animals. The minister is Pr. Jack Shannon. For more information about Saint Athanasius see here: https://www.saintathanasiusfc.com/

    Sermon Outline:

    Genesis: Book of Resurrections

Another Garden: Be Fruitful, Multiply, and Fill the Earth

    Maturing Mankind

    Eating Meat

    No Blood

    Ministers of Wrath

    Covenant and Signs

    My Three Sons

    The Sin of Ham

    The Tower of Babel

    The Tower of Babel
EPISODE 18 (Guest: Christine G) - The Tower of Babel is one of those strange legends which sounds utterly preposterous on the face of it, but serves as a neat explanation for a real, observable phenomenon: in this case, the proliferation of languages and cultures found across the Middle-East. This legend also casts God in the role of a spoiler, who just can't seem to leave us humans alone to make our own way on this planet.

    Table of Nations

    Table of Nations
EPISODE 17 (Guest: Christine G) - The genealogy chart given in the tenth chapter of Genesis, popularly known as "The Table of Nations," is important because it is the first chapter which firmly places the Bible on a historical footing, since many of the names contained within it can be directly correlated with ancient cities and tribes known to historians today.

    The Rainbow Covenant

    The Rainbow Covenant
EPISODE 16 (Guest: Christine G) - After the Great Flood, the eight surviving descendents of Adam and Eve along with God had the challenge of setting new terms for the human civilizations which would subsequently bloom from this family. These terms would take the form of a covenant, or contract, between God and the survivors of the flood.

Episode 6: Noah's Family, the Tower of Babel, and Abram's Call

Episode 6: Noah's Family, the Tower of Babel, and Abram's Call
During this episode, Levi and Aaron look into the growth and disobedience of Noah's family immediately following the flood, the goings on at the Tower of Babel (especially the new languages), and Abram's call out of the land of Ur to the land of Canaan. Passages read come from Hebrews 11 and Genesis 10-12. On a side note, we did not intend to go as long as we did, but we got a little carried away. We hope you enjoy it all the same. 2018-09-23 – Mark of distinction

    2018-09-23 – Mark of distinction

As we read through the Bible, there are lots of names. We don’t know these people so often we just skip these parts. But God saw that these names are important because God loves you. God wrote their names in the book! How great is that? God knows you and when God knows you, you are very important before God!

God knows how important you are and e wants you to live eternally. He even knows the number of your hairs!

There are many people who did important things but their names are not in the Bible. But these people are in the Bible. That is great.

God knows us so we must stand firm and serve Him. You can be just a small person, even a slave, and you can change the world. Because God loves you.

Three things that you can do to make yourself different from other people:

First, the grace of God. You need the grace of God to be upon you. This comes with blessing. If God’s eyes are upon you, you will be blessed.

Second, the way you walk with God. How are you walking with God? People live carelessly but if you walk with God, it will make you different, and you will be blessed.

Third, a life of prayer. The way you pray will take you far. Many people pray, but some people do it more effectively. That is because they do it differently. Jesus was a prayer warrior!

Jabez was a prayer warrior. He has a very small part in the Bible. The Bible is listing names, names, names. And then it gets to Jabez and says some things about him. Wow!

Even stars differ from each other. The sun the moon and the stars, and even stars differ from other stars.

God’s grace comes to us. Our walk with God makes us different. Pray fervently and often.
