037 - Israel vs. Palestine: IT'S OKAY
I struggled putting my words together for this week's regular episode, which was supposed to be chapter 5 of my book, because this situation in the Middle East has been dominating my thoughts. I got into some heated arguments (again) with my family. And it wasn't even my Muslim family members that I clashed with, but rather, my Christian siblings. And this disturbed me. So I felt compelled to give my perspective on the situation. Who occupied the land first? And who does it belong to now? What are the facts, and should we take sides? And what does all of this have to do with end times and spiritual attack by the enemy? Have a listen, and please share it around if you feel led.
In this episode, I mention Pastor Skip Heitzig's video sermon: Israel or Palestine: Who's Right?
I also suggest listeners check out my podcast episode from back in the summer: Islam vs. Christianity: The Spiritual Attack of a False Religion

The True Story of the World (Gen. 11:27-12:3)
We have a way of seeing things, a story we are living in, but that story is largely shaped by cultural narratives. Genesis 1-11 introduces us to the true story of the world and invites us to see God, ourselves, and the world in new ways.
The Stain of Sin (Gen. 9:18-29)
Noah was an incredible man of faith, a true hero. If ever there was hope for things to go differently after the flood, it would be with Noah. This story in Genesis 9 shows us what happens when humanity gets a fresh start.

The Sabbath School Lesson study guide can be found here:
https://ssnet.org/lessons/22b/less05m.html
The title of this quarter's theme is: Genesis: The Book of the Beginning
Genesis provides us with the only authentic account of how life came to be on planet earth, how sin originated here, and what God plans to do about it. Creation, the Fall, and the Redemption are all covered here. This is a foundational book, and sets in place many principles for understanding the rest of God’s Word.

Origins #11: Consequences (Genesis 9:18-28)
Sin always has consequences. Sin brings degradation. Sin brings humiliation. Sin brings condemnation. But while sin always has consequences, God always has purposes.

011 - The Beginning of Nations
In this episode, we’re going to look at what happened to the sons of Noah after the flood. In the process, we’re going to see again that genealogies are simply a dry list, but make important contributions to the development of the Story. And by the end of today’s episode, we’re going to see that what happened at Babel was just as catastrophic as the flood.
010 The Story of Noah - Part 2
The Story of Noah is more than a standalone Bible story. In it, God's relationship with mankind is dramatically altered. In this episode, we'll conclude our look at how the events related to Noah's life advance the larger Story.
009 The Story of Noah - Part 1
The Story of Noah is one of those bible stories that is usually taught as a stand-alone story. But as we’ve seen, it’s not. It’s part of the larger Story of Scripture. So, what are the critical developments found in it, and how do they move the Story forward? That’s what we’re going to begin to look at in this episode.

2018-09-23 – Mark of distinction
As we read through the Bible, there are lots of names. We don’t know these people so often we just skip these parts. But God saw that these names are important because God loves you. God wrote their names in the book! How great is that? God knows you and when God knows you, you are very important before God!
God knows how important you are and e wants you to live eternally. He even knows the number of your hairs!
There are many people who did important things but their names are not in the Bible. But these people are in the Bible. That is great.
God knows us so we must stand firm and serve Him. You can be just a small person, even a slave, and you can change the world. Because God loves you.
Three things that you can do to make yourself different from other people:
First, the grace of God. You need the grace of God to be upon you. This comes with blessing. If God’s eyes are upon you, you will be blessed.
Second, the way you walk with God. How are you walking with God? People live carelessly but if you walk with God, it will make you different, and you will be blessed.
Third, a life of prayer. The way you pray will take you far. Many people pray, but some people do it more effectively. That is because they do it differently. Jesus was a prayer warrior!
Jabez was a prayer warrior. He has a very small part in the Bible. The Bible is listing names, names, names. And then it gets to Jabez and says some things about him. Wow!
Even stars differ from each other. The sun the moon and the stars, and even stars differ from other stars.
God’s grace comes to us. Our walk with God makes us different. Pray fervently and often.
