Poppy Starr Olsen is an artist and skateboarder. This week Sally Felice (Affleck) joins me for an in-person conversation to share about her life so far. We record at her home in the eastern suburbs of Sydney on a balmy spring evening with the sound of crickets in the background (which I discovered was near impossible to edit out, but it slowly becomes ambient noise). Sally discusses her early life growing up in the northern beaches area of Sydney, the challenges she faced as a child of divorce, finding solace and community in skateboarding, what it was like being the only girl at the skatepark for the first 4 years of her skating life, self-imposed pressure to prove herself to the boys, getting sponsored by Kewday and Billabong, entering skate comps, being one of the first skate coaches in Australia with Mick Mulhall, meeting her non-skater husband, starting a family, balancing career, her love for all sports (specifically soccer) and much much more. Anthony Pappalardo joins me this week to share about his life so far. Aside from being an accomplished writer who has had his work published in notable skateboarding and media outlets such as Slap Magazine, Transworld Skateboarding, Monster Children, Jenkem, and Vice (to name a few), he has also worked with a variety of culturally significant brands. Anthony discusses his early life growing up in a blended Italian/American household on the East Coast of the USA, finding skateboarding, finding music, his academic pathways, falling in love with writing, personal observations on modern day society, culture, and much more.
We also touch upon the main themes outlined in his books Radio Silence: A selected Visual History of American Hardcore Music and Skateboarding, Power, and Change .

Sean Enuks is an Australian skateboarder, tattooist, and popular You Tube-er. Justin Cox is a lifelong skateboarder, dedicated Muay Thai participant, trainer and coach. This week, Justin and I sit down for an in-person conversation about his wild life so far. Ti Coleing is a lifelong skateboarder, born and raised in the eastern suburbs of Sydney, Australia.
In this week's episode, Ti shares about his childhood, his parent's separation when he was 7 years old, skateboarding around Bondi in the 80s, working with Waverly council to have the Bondi vert ramp built, teaching troubled youth how to skate back in the 90s, his first job at Surfection in Bondi Junction, working with Guy Miller at Juice Clothing to produce their videos, his input into the design of the Juice "mesh" shorts, working for the Jamie Thomas enterprise; Blackbox distribution, transitioning to Hardcore distribution, X-Games, skate judging, his coaching business; Skate:Flow, and much much more.
In the 25 (plus) years that I've known Ti, his humble and approachable nature has always stood out. Respectable aspects of his solid character that have never changed, and probably never will.
Now in his late 40s, Ti's passion and drive to progress at skating (and life in general) are more present than ever.

Iconic Skateboarder, artist, musician and cultural influencer, Mr Steve Caballero joins me from his home in California for a long conversation about his life so far.
