From Strangers, to Members, To Franchise Partners in Less Than One Year With Carey Tump and Karen Pederson

From Strangers, to Members, To Franchise Partners in Less Than One Year With Carey Tump and Karen Pederson

Carey and Karen's conversation with Morgan was a bold and vulnerable look behind the scenes at what it looks like to partner with a friend and take bold leaps knowing that being "ready" isn't a real thing! These powerhouse women started off as most of us do, strangers, when they walked into Burn Boot Camp. They met on the floating floor a few months later after they showed up at the holiday party in the exact same outfit - a perfect conversation starter! They got to talking, became more than just acquaintances on the floating floor, and shortly thereafter decided to go into business with one another while still getting to know each other.

Through bold leaps of faith, holding each other in a place of grace, and overcoming grief, these women have been through it all and carved out a piece of the Waukesha community that they are proud to call their home. Listen along as these women open up and share their personal journies that not only led them to one another but to opening a Burn Boot Camp just months after their first official meeting.

Reframe Your Thoughts, Reclaim Your Power With Morgan

Reframe Your Thoughts, Reclaim Your Power With Morgan

Mindset is everything! Morgan is opening up about her mental game and the mental muscles she flexes when things just don't feel right to get them back on track.

"You have to seek out positivity right now in this world. Everyone is struggling in their own way, and it can often come out as negativity on social media. I work really hard to not let the negative thoughts last long. If my mindset is off, I know I'm not the best person to be around. If I get down, worried, or anxious, things don't operate well. It shows up in work, my marriage, how I'm a mom. I've learned that about myself and I am very self-aware. If I'm acting out in a way that isn't who I want to show up as, I dig deep and figure out what is causing the stress in my life. I can recognize that my mindset is not good and then I analyze my inputs! What am I consuming? Podcasts, social media, news, conversations, anything! Your inputs equal your outputs!"

Healthy communication is just one of the tips and tricks I share when you need to hack feeling off and negative thoughts are consuming your mindset.

5 Ways the Pandemic Has Strengthened Me

5 Ways the Pandemic Has Strengthened Me

For most of us, the coronavirus pandemic represents a completely unprecedented circumstance, as novel as it is life-changing. No event in recent history has affected us as profoundly and pervasively.

Not only does it remind us of our physical fragility, but it also undermines economic security, throws daily routines completely upside down, wreaks havoc on business plans, and isolates us from friends and neighbors.

It has also given us an opportunity to dig deep and reflect on what is really important. I want to hear from you - what have you learned in the last 18 months while navigating the unchartered pandemic waters? Join the conversation over on my Instagram.

10 Productivity Hacks for Working Moms

10 Productivity Hacks for Working Moms

Whether you're an entrepreneur, go into the office every day, or are working from home - this episode is for you! Morgan is sharing her tips for productivity as a working Mom and what she's found that works best for her.

Some of the tips we cover today:

    • Baby-wearing. Hello, hands-free! Snuggling the little one + working at the same time doesn't sound too bad!
    • Stop multitasking. It’s BS. Close the tabs, start time blocking your priorities.
    • Sleep better, work better.
    • Hire someone. Help isn’t something to be ashamed of. Bonus points for hiring someone to do something that is better at the thing than you are!
    • Always batch process. Think of it as an assembly line. One person doesn't build a whole car. Instead, they make one part over and over because it's much more efficient. Apply this same principle to your business.
    • Have self-awareness. What works for one person may not work for you.
    • Speaking of to-do lists, don't add too many tasks. Try to focus on just one to three things a day. If you finish those then you can add more.
    • Shift your mindset. Are you always thinking about how little time you have? How busy you are? How frazzled you are? What does that thinking do?
    • Let's talk technology. I know it seems like there are new headlines every day about how bad using screens and technology are for your kid, but let's get real for a minute. It's not the end of the world if you give your kid the iPad for 20 minutes while you finish some work. Right now, I am giving you permission!
    • Don't be too hard on yourself. Self-care, unplugging, alone time to recharge, date night -- whatever it is, make the time and put it on your calendar!
