All of us have wonderful insights into what it means to be a Sojourner and how we have a positive impact as we not only travel with a purpose, but we glorify our Lord.

In this episode we have a conversation with fellow Sojuourners,  Forrest and Delores Buxton.  We chat about their life as Sojourners and how they see their role in service to our Lord through this mission.  

One important point they bring out is how we encourage others and are ourselves encouraged as we reach beyond ourselves in bringing hope to others.

Maybe its time to get rid of the beast or to upgrade to a new one.  In this episode I present some things to keep in mind if you are selling or buying an RV.  These are some things I've experienced or found in my research.  Even if you are not in the market yet, you know someone might be so please share this episode with them.

Hello fellow Sojourners.  In this episode I speak just a bit about proper care and use of RV awnings.  Our awnings are important to helping us get the most out of our RV experience.  If we don't care and use them properly, it can result in a lot of expense.

We had a successful Camp Bee workshop in October of 2023.  This was in spite of a COVID outbreak that affected approximately 70 folks.  Now we're ready for the 2024 Florida workshop.  Eddie and Brenda Cox have put together another exciting opportunity for us to get together to learn, fellow-shop, and encourage one another as we continue with our Sojourner mission.

Friends, in this episode we discuss the very important topic of keeping safe while online.  My guest is Randy Bowman, an expert in cyber security, especially in the area of personal security.  I've known Randy for over 20 years as a brother in the Lord, personal friend, and professional collogue.  He has served as an information technology specialist for government agencies, non-profit organizations, and is now the interim CEO for the International Accreditors for Continuing Education and Training (IACET).  Randy brings his vast knowledge and experience together to offer us some very important information to help protect us as we travel with a purpose.

This is a bit of a departure from our regular podcast content.  Some of you may know that I have a second podcast called, Our Journey to Hope where I discuss how we can discover, sustain, or regain hope.  I thought the subject of this specific episode would be of help and interest to our Sojourning community.  But not only for ourselves, but to help others discover, sustain, or regain hope  so please consider sharing.  

In this episode we have an insightful discussion with Aven Hook of the Easten Hills congregation about how we can sustain and regain hope as we age.  As we age we face changes , sometimes from a direction we didn't expect.  Some of these changes are negative, and some positive.  We look at some of these and some suggestions of how we can overcome the negative ones and increase the hope found through the positive ones.

In this episode we visit with Robbie Shoults of Bear Creek Smokehouse.  This wonderful restaurant and general store is a great place to visit and relax.  It is located on Texas Highway 154 a few miles northwest of Marshall, TX.   As Sojourners we like to eat, shop, and visit.  Bear Creek offers all of that and more.  

Their web page is www.bearcreeksmokehouse.com.  Every day is a good day to come visit but I especially like Saturdays when the pit is open and you get to choose from a great selection of meats.  Man!  I'm ready to go now!

In this episode I discuss some things to keep in mind for traveling during severe weather.  I offer some suggestions for preparing for a severe weather event.  I also look at some things to keep in mind if you are caught in a tornado or winter weather event.

Remember, planning is critical.  We want to keep everyone safe as together we travel with a purpose.

What distracts you from focusing on Christ and the Gospel? If we’re all being honest, life can be overwhelming, frustrating, and downright discouraging. In the midst of the rat race, it’s easy to lose sight of what matters most or — in the words of the angel of the Lord to the Church at Ephesus — to “abandon our first love.”

As we enter 2020, Pastor Stan will be calling us to return to our passion and zeal for the Gospel, the same intensity and enthusiasm that captured our hearts when we were first saved.
