In this episode Ashley speaks with Zoey Greco, also known as "The Merhipsy", all about intuition. Zoey is an intuitive empath and spiritual coach, whose work connects individuals to the divine guidance and unconditional love that awaits them in every moment from Universal energy. As an intuitive energy healing practitioner, crystal healer, sound healing guide, and yoga instructor, Zoey uses her gifts of clairvoyance, healing, and empowerment, to help individuals step into their purpose, gain clarity on their lives, and find fulfillment and abundance in all forms.

Zoey and Ashley discuss how to be a good collaborator, what Zoey deems as ‘sloppy manifestation’, ways to develop your intuition, when she realized her gifts and her journey to making a career out of spiritual healing and intuition, confidence and boundaries and how they’re intertwined, practicing good spiritual hygiene, and using her gifts to help others in a positive way. 

Zoey has had her intuitive ability her entire life, as well as her gift for healing. Deborah was working as a social worker and having difficulties in her relationship and  suffered a panic attack that shook her to her core.  She immediately felt the urge that she had to "get out of here!" Two days later she was on a plane to visit friends in a beautiful location surrounded by nature.

She took a walk near her friend's home in the forest near a beach and found a local totem pole with a Bald eagle sitting on top of it.  She knew this was a powerful moment for her and she performed a simple gratitude ceremony that led her to take a day long vision quest at a local park where another Eagle flew over to calm her fears of spending the day alone in nature.

After a magical day on her vision quest, Deborah found herself on a cliff overlooking the water and singing and creating sounds  that came from deep within her soul.  Several days later she had a synchronistic encounter with a man in a book store who told her she was a spiritual teacher. 

When she returned home she completely changed her life, left her job and the previous relationship to step fully into being the sound healer and spiritual teacher that emerged during her vision quest.

Deborah Brodey is a Transformation Guide, Yoga Teacher/ Sound Healer, Ceremonial facilitator from Toronto, Canada. Today on the show we wanted to talk about volunteering... it seems like this time of year folks come out to help those less fortunate, which is WONDERFUL but we also wanted to let you know that we can think about helping out all year round!

Our first guest today is Dana Ronnquist who is a massage therapist and recent graduate of Wild Gather, Hudson Valley's School of Herbal Studies. Dana has taken her herbal skills to another level in opening Golden Hour Botanicals, a line of herbal body products and tinctures. Dana shares the challenges of working through several health crisis and the disappointment she experienced in the medical profession. After being diagnosed with Crohn's Disease, and receiving that diagnosis via a voicemail, Dana sought out the care of New Leaf, a Kingston and Vermont based naturopathic practice who really provided the care she was seeking. Her Crohn's diagnosis was followed up by a discovery of a large ovarian cyst which she learned later was actually due to endometriosis. This journey led her through challenging diets with limited food options as well as major weight fluctuation, the public's response to her losing weight, and a deeper understanding of what healthy really looks like.

Our second guest today is Lavender Suarez, a sound and energy healer based out of the Hudson Valley. She loves exploring music, even as a kid she played instruments quote un-quote 'wrong' just because she was just very curious about the way that sound worked. She worked with sound in abstracts all through her early life, she studied Art Therapy in college, and after she moved to the Hudson Valley she started working with Pauline Oliveros at the Deep Listening Institute. Did you know that there are tuning forks that work with acupressure points in the body? Through vibration you can reach the nervous system in the body, it helps to quiet the mind and relax the body, and this is what starts the therapeutic process. It's so amazing to hear her explain how her exploration has completely opened her up to a never ending world of vibration!
