How To Curate A Showcase Of Short FIlms With Source's Jamie Madge.

How To Curate A Showcase Of Short FIlms With Source's Jamie Madge.

Jamie Madge is the Worldwide Editor of the fantastic website SourceEcreative, what we now just call the Source. Jamie puts together a showcase of short films that he carefully curates to give the crowd a variety of emotions. Then we takes the show around the world. Literally. He likens it to a mixtape, because he has us, the audience, in mind when he choses the content and it's order.

For those that don't use the Source, you're missing one of the greatest tools to study advertising. It's a comprehensive database of spots with extensive credits from client, agency and production.

    Enjoy.

Episode 16: "Our Horror & Cult Movie Blind Spots!"

Episode 16: "Our Horror & Cult Movie Blind Spots!"

On this week's podcast, Joanna and Johnny discuss horror (and cult) movie blind spots! You know, those movies we really should have seen by now, but haven't for whatever reason.

From Carpenter to Craven, it's a mixed bag. Fun fact: One we've watched since this recording -- and one we'll never watch.

We also talk about recent movie viewings, our next #TerrorWeet, and preview the next episode topic (our first Halloween-inspired episode)!

Drinking game options: Every time a major director is mentioned.

IBAHpod #32: Special guest Micah (Aaron's Brother)

IBAHpod #32: Special guest Micah (Aaron's Brother)

We finally got him. THE Micah joins us on this special episode of the podcast.

As he's been staying with us before he heads of to University to study film, the filmmaker in the family talks all the usual topics with Helene and Aaron.

We hear about his return to Brazilian jiu jitsu (after continuous pressure from our hosts),  injuries, grave wounds, Facebook etiquette and bodily functions this time around. We also hear about that funny time the police raided Aaron's house while Micah was visiting a few years back.

It's a very random episode as usual so we hope it entertains!

My Chat With The Incomparable Comedy Director Mike Bigelow.

Commercial helmer Mike Bigelow started out as a motion animator and VFX technical director working on prestigious films like "The Abyss" and "Total Recall" before directing hundreds of commercials. We chat about our mutual love of doing as much in camera as possible, how comedy plays best in a wider shot, and we engage in a little tech talk. Mike is a gentleman and his sly humor makes for a great listen. Enjoy & share with a loved one.

Two of Mike's spots we discuss are posted at jordanbrady.com so check them out. Or click on his name above.

The Fascinating Journey of Director Jeannette Godoy.

The Fascinating Journey of Director Jeannette Godoy.

How the multi-talented Jeannette Godoy came to spot directing is quite a fascinating tale. She's worked on set as a choreographer, a wardrobe stylist, a production designer and even a dialect coach. Then she turned her talents to directing, and was shortlisted at Cannes as "Best New Director" and plucked for Shoot's New Director Showcase for her very first spot. Jeannette brings a warmth and humanity to her work that takes even seasoned directors years to convey. Enjoy my chat with this director on  the rise.

We talk about how to break into the business, as well as the challenges of being a female in a male-dominated field. And of course we discuss her award-winning documentary, "Free 2 Be Me", a 30 minute film about young dancers with Down Syndrome.  Please share the film, you can download for free at free2bememovie.com.

    24 Fasting and Self-Care tips

    24 Fasting and Self-Care tips
    • Don shares a little bit about how 13 Terminally Ill people were sent to him and how he worked intently with them for 40days.  One particular woman had the worst condition of cirrhosis and eczema he'd ever seen in his life.
    • You don't necessarily need to Fast to Clear up your Skin.  Another way is to scrub your skin, get out into the Sun, put Lemon Juice on the patches or spots where it is the worst (yes it will burn and sting a little) put your skin into a Hot Water Salt bath, then get out and put Extra extra Virgin Olive Oil all over your skin till it Absorbs in, then you get dressed.
    • How the Break down of oil works and how you should have 1/2 a cup of extra virgin oil every single day or go on a 28day Experiment of Raw Foods if you want to clear up your skin quickly.
    • Sunshine, Olive Oil, Lemon Juice, Salt Water baths or getting into the Ocean and Raw food = You will see your skin Conditions Remise.
    • Things that will assist you with getting rid of Asthma - Garlic, Onions, big Red Skinned Potatoes (slice these into slices as thick as your finger, squeeze lemon juice all over them & ground sea salt and eat the entire plate of raw potato) 3-5 times a day go Outside and take Essential Peppermint Oil, rub 3-4 drops together in the palm of your hand till it gets kinda hot, Cup it over the Nose and Mouth, breath in and out deeply 5-6 times, Walk 30-45mins a day breathing through your Nose (not your mouth).  If you do all of this, it will take somewhere between 30days to 6 months for you to no longer have Asthma.

Cauliflower Alley Club - Phenomenal Phil & Logan X

Cauliflower Alley Club - Phenomenal Phil & Logan X
Welcome to the Wrestling Viewpoint Network; where we celebrate the Great American Art Form of Professional Wrestling, not bury it in dirt. WVN is not just one digital broadcast. This is a series of shows exploring, discussing, and celebrating wrestling from present day to well into the past. On this episode, WVN's Ken Napzok sits down with Lethal Logan X to interview Phenomenal Phil Lander, one of the mainstays of the SoCal Indy scene in the earlier 2000s. Phil is also the first wrestler Ken managed back in 2002. Here the still young men turn into grumpy old men over the state of modern wrestling story telling, but also discuss what made Logan and Phil get into wrestling. Plus, they talk about one of the most controversial wrestling companies in history... XPW. Follow the Wrestling Viewpoint Network and Ken Napzok on Twitter to join the conversation. (@WrestlingVN & @KenNapzok) and find our page on Facebook. On iTunes, Subscribe, Rate, and Review.
