Ep. 41 Forgive & Forget? Are you Kidding Me?

Ep. 41 Forgive & Forget? Are you Kidding Me?

"Forgive and forget." What weight does this everyday phrase hold?

What do forgiveness and forgetting really mean?

According to the Oxford Dictionary, the number one definition for forgiveness is to "stop feeling angry or resentful towards (someone) for an offense, flaw, or mistake." And to forget is to: "fail to remember."

But these aren't static, objective words. They are words that require action, and they are subjective to the beholder.

As you may know, Forgive and forget is an oft-repeated piece of advice with biblical origins. Although it might seem trite, there's a reason this little phrase still gets uttered so often. There's true wisdom in forgiving and forgetting. When someone really hurts you, you may question whether you want to forgive someone; it may, in fact, seem utterly unnatural. But there are many reasons why it's sometimes better to forgive and forget, even if part of you doesn't want to.

A must listen to help yourself and to help others.

Ep. 39 10 Sins Jesus Condemns Most Harshly

Ep. 39 10 Sins Jesus Condemns Most Harshly

Throughout Jesus’ life and ministry, He called peoples’ attention to various sins as he taught and guided us in what it truly means to love Him and to walk with Him. But during His ministry, did Jesus call out some sins more than others?

As a disciple of Christ, we need to pay attention, not just to Jesus’ words, but what they reveal about His heart for us. Wherever He calls out sin, he points the way to something far greater than what the sin promises us. This is why it is so crucial to listen closely and respond to what Jesus emphasized in His teachings.

10 Sins Jesus Condemns Most Harshly is a must-listen-to get a good look at where we are and further develop our relationship with Christ and clean our lives up to alien ourselves with His teaching. Heaven is the goal.

Ep. 37 Should a Spirit Filled Christian Meditate?

Ep. 37 Should a Spirit Filled Christian Meditate?

    What Is Meditation?

Eastern religions and New Age cults practice a mindless meditation form to discover what they believe to be a divinity hidden within themselves.

Biblical meditation, however, is neither mindless nor self-centered. Biblical Meditation is reflective thinking with an application view. You think about God's ways and align your heart with His will and purpose.

Here are the scriptures that Pastor Snyder mentioned in the podcast for your reading & meditation.
    Meditate on God's Word...
    • when facing opposition (see Psalm 119:42, 97, 98 )
    • when dealing with oppression (see Psalm 119:78 )
    • in times of crisis (see Psalm 119:23, 148 )
    • to win over depression (see Psalm 77:11, 12 )
    • when seeking God's will (see Psalm 119:10, 15 )
    • to boost confidence (see Psalm 63:5-11 )
    • when longing to please God (see Psalm 19:14; Psalm 104:34 )

God wants you to be successful in all that you do!
Here is a further great value is found in the discipline of meditation. Prosperity and
success are God's promised rewards (see Joshua 1:8; Psalm 1:2, 3; 1 Timothy
    4:15

Ep. 36. Train the Beast (Revitalize the Positive Inner Man)

Ep. 36. Train the Beast (Revitalize the Positive Inner Man)

In todays' episode, we take a hard look at revitalizing the positive inner man.
We all have "the beast" instincts that live within us. Yet, we are humans, not animals. Maybe that is why when humans act out of control and do something out of the norm, other people call them animals. "Those animals killed my ______." Animals are hardwired to follow a pattern of conduct, a set of survival instincts built-in. We also possess some of these traits. However, animals have no choice when they feel threatened. They will do all that is necessary to protect their young and survive. There is one primary factor that differs between the animals and us; a moral conscience.

Ep. 34 Rebuilding What the Beast Destroyed (Rebuilding Self-Esteem)

Ep. 34 Rebuilding What the Beast Destroyed (Rebuilding Self-Esteem)

In this episode, we learn that rebuilding is a crucial subject to gain and accomplish in life. You have to feel good about yourself. Here we are going to learn something about self-esteem. In other words, recognize your inborn, God-given strengths so that you can rebuild them. They are still within you. You have to uncover the Ogre’s saliva, tooth marks, stench, and scars. He wants to make those strengths in you unrecognizable.

Self-esteem levels at the extreme high and low ends of the spectrum can be harmful, so ideally, it's best to strike a balance somewhere in the middle. A realistic yet positive view of yourself is generally considered the ideal.

There is so much content in this subject that we have to bring this to you in two parts.

Any concept of grace that makes us feel more comfortable sinning is not Biblical grace.

God's grace never encourages us to live in sin; on the contrary, it empowers us to say no to sin and yes to the truth.

    Ep. 17 The Pivotal Point

    Ep. 17 The Pivotal Point

When a "Then" happens in our lives, it really becomes a pivoting point on our relationship with God.
The word pivot means this... a person, thing, or factor having a major or central role, function, or effect: a key player or position.

The word "Then" is interesting in the fact it is an after-the-fact word.
