It was the “sticky client experience”, developing the relationship, and doing things that made her referable, that finally enabled her to break through, and see referrals flow in.
She learned the importance of connecting with prospects. Her actions became relationship-based, rather than work-based; planting trust and getting clients to a place where they felt comfortable referring her. People had to first like and trust her before they’d refer her.
Nurturing relationships, communication, and respect are key to developing and growing your referral base. It does no good to simply meet expectations; that’s a given. People expect you to vastly exceed expectations.
