Ezekiel 40-41 | What Does This Vision Mean?

Ezekiel 40-41 | What Does This Vision Mean?

Ezekiel chapters 40-41 contain a detailed vision and prophecy given to the prophet Ezekiel. In this vision, Ezekiel is transported to a future time when a new temple is constructed in Jerusalem. The chapters provide precise measurements and descriptions of the temple complex, including its gates, courtyards, and inner chambers. The vision emphasizes the importance of proper worship, the role of priests, and the significance of sacrifices in this restored temple. It serves as a symbol of hope and restoration for the Israelites who were in exile, suggesting a future return to their homeland and a renewed relationship with God. These chapters highlight God's meticulous plans and divine instructions for the construction of this sacred place.

    Episode 22 - r/nosleep (I'm a Search and Rescue Officer)

Horror exists all around us. Movies, books, video games, but true terror lives in the one place we never expected: the internet! Just kidding, we all knew the internet was terrifying. Sit back and relax while host Richard reads a submitted story from the r/nosleep subreddit! Maybe you'll find that the forest might be scarier than you thought.

    Take The Stairs (pt. 2)

    Take The Stairs (pt. 2)

Let's keep talking about those stairs! This week we dive back in on the concept of personal discipline. Did you pick a quality and apply it last week? If you did, maybe you noticed how hard it was, or how many staircases were around every corning. I want to share a conversation I had with a friend who tried this last week. He found it harder than he thought,  but almost immediately rewards. I saw God at work in his life.

But look, you can't do this alone. You need help. Are you willing to acknowledge that? So let's look at two others who might tell you to "take the stairs": people in your life, and the God who loves you more than anyone. They want to see you succeed and you need them to do so.

    - How did your growth go last week in the quality you chose?

    - Were you mindful, intentional, and directional in your week?

    - How important is it to have an inner circle of supporters who push you?

    - In what ways does God sometimes eliminate the escalators in your life?

    - Do you feel like you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you?

    Take The Stairs (pt. 1)

    Take The Stairs (pt. 1)

Are you the kind of person who takes the stairs? Or have you been the kind of person who doesn't even think about how important they are?  Is the easy way the best way in all things? The world is full of people looking for shortcuts. The problem is, they are shortcuts to nowhere. They don't achieve what they want. They don't get to where they want to go, because they weren't willing to do the little things. They only did what they wanted, so they didn't get where they wanted to be. We can do better. We must.  With some simple imagery, and a few tools:  M.I.D., you can make each day a part of who you are becoming.

    - Why do more people take the escalator over the stairs?

    - Do little choices, like a flight of stairs, really matter?

    - Do little things we choose to do say big things about who we are?

    - How can mindfulness, intentionality, and direction make all the difference?

    - Which did you choose this week?  (Faith, Moral Excellence, Knowledge, Self-Control, Perseverance, Godliness, Brotherly Kindness, Love)
