Musically we discuss  our reactions the Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show, Snoop Dogg acquiring ownership of Death Row Records, and who would win a Verzuz battle between the legendary hip-hop producers/moguls Dr. Dre and Puff Daddy?

In Need to Know, the Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show is reviewed, and Bianca initially ranks it among her all-time favorites; Isaiah reminds her that such a distinction is highly-debatable. In All the Feels, Isaiah recounts his recent experience on the Tinder dating app, and shares why he deleted it after just two drink dates. In Gotta Do, Bianca leads a discussion on treating yourself, while Isaiah points out that treats don't necessarily have to cost money. 

Hip-hop took center stage last Sunday night and ushered in a new era of sorts.  It's hard to believe it took this long when really you think about it.  While the reviews were largely favorable, and we agree with the majority,  not everyone liked what they saw.  And that's cool too.  That's the beauty of music really, everything isn't going to appeal to everyone, but everyone should be open to anything.  At least that's how we feel.  What do you think?

The spectacular Super Bowl LVI brought memorable moments, a major victory for the Rams,  especially Cooper Kupp, Aaron Donald and Matthew Stafford. There was plenty of controversy. The dazzling Half-Time Show with Dr. Dre, Snoop Dog, and Eminem brought nostalgia and equal time, but not everyone approved. Whiteness reacted with its predictable backlash all over Twitter and conservative media.  The NFL is dealing with a serious PR problem with reference to race.  The accounting firm for the Trump organization, Mazars USA, announces: "You're fired!" - disassociating themselves from their major client and disavowing the past ten years of financial statements. Carla introduces the concept of "generational criminality." National treasure Ken Burns issues a warning for America. Carla shares her love for a novel about FDR and Lucy Mercer by Ellen Feldman simply called "Lucy." Ken finishes with a story about an NYT journalist and an ice fisherman in Ukraine - a nation in crisis.

Alex, Jesse, Jon, and Josh are joined by comedian and friend of the show Evan Mumford. They laugh at the idiocy of athletes, including Odell Beckham Jr., Jonathan Bernier, Marty Cordova, Plaxico Burress, and Vince Coleman (7:56). Evan plays a game of word association (23:43), and a few rounds of Start-Bench-Cut focusing on comedians (24:31). Josh inexplicably asks the guys about bathtub etiquette (31:44), the crew briefly discuss the LA Rams' Super Bowl LVI victory (33:29), and ponder the Calgary Flames' Stanley Cup aspirations (41:33). The show finishes with everyone's Qualin Award nominations (50:08).
