    Alles Liebe,
    Christina

Not All Super Women Wear Capes Part 3

In this episode we see that not all dreams come true but that is not always a bad thing. BK walks you through that tough reality of having her childhood dream of being a singer slowly move in a new direction and even the second dream of working for a record label or even just a job in the music business fade as she enters graduate school. It is a very courageous story of how doors close for a reason and when the next door does open, the person you meet can change your life forever! Please come inside this ride from big city dreams where you tend to end up a small fish in a big pond, to a city where BK is becoming a big fish in a little pond!

Not All Super Women Wear Capes Part 2

Not All Super Women Wear Capes Part 2

Last episode the couple discussed BK’s childhood and how growing up in a family of musicians started to lay the groundwork for loving music which would ultimately lead to her career in the music business. This week the journey continues through the middle years of her life from high school and into college up in Massachusetts where BK not only surprised her sorority sisters but also landed the front spot in a rock band out of Rhode Island. The music industry is hard and BK would soon find out not only becoming a singer in a rock band but even getting an internship at a major label in NYC still doesn’t guarantee success. However, what it did do for her was give her the courage and thick skin to keep pushing forward towards that ultimate dream of being in the music biz. Come ride along with us in part 2 of BK’s journey!

Not All Super Women Wear Capes Part 1

Now there are two big themes here, one wishing a big happy birthday to an amazing, awesome, hard working, co-host, mother and wife. The second rad theme we are talking about is her journey into the music business. I do not think we intended this to be “inspiring” but it just naturally happened because of BK’s life story. Here at B&B we encourage growth and goals, and BK shows us with her journey that if you have a dream in life, for one set a goal and try, but second if you give something time to grow it will end up being the amazing thing you always knew it could be.

Come along this multi-part ride to hear just how BK’s worked her way to the top of one of Nashville's most iconic management companies on Music Row.

18WT #016: Raise Your Hand If You Are.....!

18WT #016: Raise Your Hand If You Are.....!

18WT 016:  After a bit of laughter and pug talk, Patrick and Janet get down to talking about Blended Families and what they are. Raise your hand if you are from a blended family and immediately Patrick gets a bit contrary. Janet brings the Ritz man back down to earth with saltine lady. That is from a previous podcast, from Patrick not wanting to be called Caucasian.

Janet discusses Blended families. So, Julius Caesar, (Caligula) had sex with his half-sister and had children by her. She explains to Patrick that they did share the same father. Patrick is pretty grossed out by that, which leads to talk of Harem’s. And then do these still exist? Yes, but in America they do not refer to them as a Harem, but in certain society’s here in the states, there are one-man multiple wives allowed.

Then back “in the day” in royalty, they in-bred cousins to keep the line pure. If a freak happened, well as Patrick says, they put Quasimodo in the dungeon and hid him from society.

Janet is talking about how blended families have evolved, from Rome to the Old west or during the wars. There were widows or widowers and they got remarried so there was help either financially or physically to help raise the children. That still exists, also in the form of divorce now. As Janet says even tho she and Patrick are not married, she is essentially a Step-Monster.

5 - Dr. Stephanie Estima - Your Menstrual Cycle, The Lasso Of Truth

Jenny speaks to Dr. Stephanie Estima, CEO of Hello Betty, creator of the Estima Diet, Host of the Better! Podcast, and author of The Betty Body. Their focus on women being distinct and unique in their own right, takes them through a conversation about how women possess a very distinct superwoman power- their periods. From discussing the significance of a woman’s menstrual cycle, they look at how our periods are a time of reflection, and making change, and how training should fluctuate with this cycle. We also learn that as women, our worthiness needs to come from within- we find our strong when we give ourselves grace, both physically and mentally, to give our bodies what they need.

Overwhelmed and Over It: Christine Arylo

Overwhelmed and Over It: Christine Arylo
Exhale all that pressure you have been carrying around like a twenty-five-pound sack of judgment against yourself. The guilt, expectations, obligations, criticisms, comparisons, and ideals of what you should have done, accomplished, or figured out by now. All the ways in which you deem you are not measuring up, keeping up, or doing enough. The cause of the shoulder knots, jaw clenching, anxiety, men- tal fogginess, depression, despair, and exhaustion. And then consider embracing this: if you truly want to thrive, then you have to do this differently. The current norms for how we work and operate as a society are not something you want to lean into. This is an invitation to liberate yourself from the self-sacrifice and burnout. The first step in changing what’s not working for you is awareness — becoming conscious of what you are currently blind to.
