Surviving Grief During the Holidays with Marian Sorci
Marian Sorci is a facilitator of Grief Share, an organization that provides a safe place for individuals to work through the loss of a loved one. She’s also a dear friend of mine and was a huge help when my Mom passed away just one year ago from glioblastoma.
Marian and I sat down to talk specifically about grief during the holiday season which can be particularly hard to get through after losing a loved one. Marian gives us some great tips for surviving the holidays, stepping into new traditions, and how we can support others that are grieving. This episode is an important one for every one to listen to. After the last few years, I think its safe to assume that all of us either lost a loved one or know someone that did.

How To Survive The Holidays
Today I share with you my tips on how to survive the holidays.
For some of us the holidays can be a double edged sword, on one hand it's a time to meet with family and enjoy each others company, but on the other hand it can be an incredibly tough time for people who are working on their fitness.
Temptation is everyone around us for 90 days straight it feels like.
So in today's episode I help take a look at your holiday season from a bird's eye view to help bring some perspective to this time during the year.
We weight out the pain vs pleasure of giving into temptation versus choosing to stay on track. We talk about how to look for emotional eating or drinking and how to make sure that you only enjoy the 3-5 days that are the actual holidays instead of falling into the 90 day trap of snacks everyday.
I hope you enjoy and hope this helps you going into this festive season!
