Susan McPherson is a serial connector, angel investor, corporate responsibility expert and founder and CEO of McPherson Strategies, a communications consultancy focused on the intersection of brands and social impact. The author of “The Lost Art of Connecting: The Gather, Ask, Do Method for Building Meaningful Relationships,” Susan joins Chris Meek in this edition of Next Steps Forward to share her secrets for building meaningful business relationships that stand the test of time. Susan believes that it is vitally important for organizations, whether a company or nonprofit, to help their employees connect and create because, as she will explain and as leading data suggests, a connected workforce is going to be more productive and a happier workforce is going to lead to more long term employees. As the founder of her thriving company, McPherson Strategies, nine years ago at the age of 48, she believes that her experience provides an important message for other women who might feel that they are past their longevity or their prime. Her message is one that all women should heed: women can still successfully start new ventures and grow businesses at any age. To learn about the vital importance of impact and not only why, but how, it should be rooted in everything that organizations do, listen to Susan’s methodology to do just that and enrich our lives.
