Deceive-to cause to accept as true or valid what is false or invalid If you don't know the truth and practice it there's a good chance you'll be deceived. We can have correct doctrine without abiding in the truth

Those two words are warning words for us to listen to and follow. It is more than just paying attention. It connotes acting on the instruction. The tornado warning sounded in a city and people started taking cover in protected places except an elderly man who said that he would dare the tornado since noting happened many times the warning sounded. He sat at his porch to watch the tornado go by. By this time, the tornado destroyed all the houses on its path including the elderly man’s house and his lifeless body was discovered several yards away from where he sat.So, take heed that you are not mere listener of God’s word, deceiving yourselves but be doers of the word. God Bless us all as we heed to the warning.
