Episode 56: Breaking Dawn Parts 1 & 2
Twilight November #3
This November, Bri and Leah are finally tackling THE vampire films of the 21st century. That's right, we're covering the Twilight Saga in honor of the tenth anniversary of the release of Breaking Dawn: Part II. Our Twilight Saga series will be three episodes.
This week, we're talking about the epic conclusion to the Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Parts 1 (2011) and 2 (2012), both directed by Bill Condon. If you couldn't tell already, talking about Twilight makes us loopy, and we go OFF this week. Like, off the rails tangents about Edward's vampire venom sperm. So, this episode is marked explicit for a handful of f-bombs and some spicy speculations about vampire reproductive biology. We also get a little reflective at the end of this episode and try to figure out what, exactly, the cultural impact of Twilight has been.

For some reason about a month ago I decided to watch Twilight and inadvertently watched the whole saga. Now I knew I was definitely late to the game and I wanted to gab about it with my two friends Jules and Charles. This quickly devolved into a pretty unhinged long convo all about our problems with Bella's character, the endless problematic things Edward does, question the reason of Jacob at all, and the bomb soundtracks.

Twilight (2008): "Robert Pattinson If You're Listening…"
Fifth Tuesday is all about the freebies, but some might say Twilight (2008) is actually one of the most horrifying stories around. For our very first Fifth Tuesday, a new institution in which we use the occasional bonus spooky day each month to cover whatever kind of movie we want, we’re throwing it back to our Robert Pattinson phase — but does one ever really grow out of such a thing? While our relationship with the vampire franchise may have changed throughout the years (it’s been a rollercoaster), ultimately we’re just as obsessed with this flick as all of the Cullens are with monkeys.
155: "Best Years Of Our Lives"
Who’s the real ‘90s character on this show? How do the bit characters continue to be infinitely more interesting than anyone else? And what (if anything) makes this all worth while? We’re thankful for these questions and more as we watch Season 7, Episode 10 of Family Matters.
Alex Diamond, David Kenny, and John McDaniel heard that the long-running network sitcom Family Matters ends with side character Steve Urkel going to space. And the best way to figure out how that happened - obviously - is to watch the last episode first and make our way backwards through nearly ten years of television.
