    The Duke and I - Episode 4

    The Duke and I - Episode 4
Wherein we review the last four episodes of Bridgerton on Netflix and we also discuss: general reactions to the first season, nudity and misunderstandings driving the plot, keeping up appearances with the staff while spatting, social faux pas vis-a-vis swine, reconciliation via rain storm, the premature revelation of Lady Whistledown's identity, and what to read next.

    The Duke and I - Episode 1

    The Duke and I - Episode 1
Wherein we review the first half of The Duke and I and we also discuss: the efficacy of pretending to date someone to avoid having to date someone, good romance novels versus just porn, judging your child's IQ at 2 years old, having to be officially licensed to dance, regency era TMZ, and random guesses as to the true identity of Lady Whistledown.

If you've binged (and loved) Netflix's Bridgerton series by Shondaland TV, you don't want to miss our book club discussion of the first of Julia Quinn's novels, The Duke and I. Recorded way back in spring 2020, before the show came out, we have a a lot to say about the book itself, the Duke of Hastings, Daphne Bridgerton's choices, and speculations for the television series. Grab a seat. It's The Cool Table's Bridgerton Book Club.
