Day 327: Origin of the Diaconate (2022)
Taking Giving Then Redistributing to the Poor and Needy Seriously (Interview with Jeff Brown)
I talk with Jeff Brown, preacher for the Woodmont Hills Church in Nashville, about "Project 245" which had at its heart Acts 2:45 - "and [believers] sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need." (NKJV) This project was formed during the early days of the pandemic. People would donate their stimulus checks and other funds to the project, and then the church would give the money to people in crisis.
May you be inspired to give and/or to help lead your church in giving by this interview.
