Daniel and the Lions Den - The Book of Daniel

Today's Bible verse is Daniel 6:22 from the King James Version.

Episode 167: King Darius of the Medes was now ruler in the land and he leaned heavily on the wisdom that God gave Daniel. As Daniel’s influence grew so did the jealousy of the other leaders around him. But Daniel was a righteous man and they could find nothing to accuse him of. So they conspired and made it a law that no one in the kingdom was allowed to worship anyone but Darius for 30 days. However, even the threat of being thrown into the lion’s den would not stop Daniel from praying to our God.

What is the Big Picture of Life? What is the Story of Humanity? Part 2: From the Cross to the End

What is the Big Picture of Life? What is the Story of Humanity? Part 2: From the Cross to the End

We continue our look at the overall story of mankind and our relationship with God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit, picking up from the death of Jesus for us. Along the way we will answer such questions as "What does Jesus rising from the dead mean for us?"  "What is significant about the prophets and the Bible?" "How can I be forgiven?" In other words, "How can I be saved?" And finally, "What do I do after I am saved?"

Apologetics: Arguments for the Resurrection of Jesus

Apologetics: Arguments for the Resurrection of Jesus

Apologetics is the term used to describe "making a defense" of the hope we have as Christians (1 Peter 3:15-16).  During this series, we will be discussing different objections to the Christian faith and hope to equip our church with ways to think about God's world.

In today's episode, Vinnie is joined by Pastors Cyrus Waters and Bo Lee to discuss apologetic arguments for the historical resurrection of Jesus.

Join us each Friday through the fall as we dive into a different apologetic topic.

    The Resurrection - The Gospels

    The Resurrection - The Gospels

In this Bible Story, the tomb that contained the beaten body of Jesus is rolled open by the power of God. Jesus, the Savior of the World, rose from the tomb to prove that death had no power over him. Death is defeated as Jesus walks in the resurrection. Jesus appears to the two Marys and tells them to give word to the disciples that he had returned. This story is inspired by Matthew 27:62-28:15; Mark 16:1-13 & John 20:1-18. Go to https://www.BibleinaYear.com and learn the Bible in a Year.

Today's Bible verse is Mark 16:6 from the King James Version.

Episode 213: All who were loyal to Jesus began to live in fear. Even His enemies, the very ones who put Him to death lived in fear. But theirs was a different kind, they still feared they would lose their power over the people to this Jesus movement. So they requested Pilate to put a guard at the tomb lest His disciples come and steal away the body. Three days later when Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of James went to visit the tomb, they were interrupted by an angel who told them it was empty. And as they were running away, they ran into the risen Jesus himself!

The Fourth Commandment: The Sabbath Day

The Fourth Commandment: The Sabbath Day

    Sermon 49 in Series

    Exodus 20:8-11

[8] “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. [9] Six days you shall labor, and do all your work, [10] but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God. On it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your male servant, or your female servant, or your livestock, or the sojourner who is within your gates. [11] For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.

    Raised to New Life

    Raised to New Life

This week Pastor Travis brings us the message about the resurrection of Jesus.

    Read Matthew 28:1-10 (NLT)

    Romans 5:6-11 (NLT)
6 When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners. 7 Now, most people would not be willing to die for an upright person, though someone might perhaps be willing to die for a person who is especially good. 8 But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. 9 And since we have been made right in God’s sight by the blood of Christ, he will certainly save us from God’s condemnation. 10 For since our friendship with God was restored by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies, we will certainly be saved through the life of his Son. 11 So now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God because our Lord Jesus Christ has made us friends of God.

    1) God demonstrated His love by sending Christ to die for us !
    2) We are forgiven by the blood of Christ !
    3) We are restored to God !

God wants to and will Restore you !

    Galatians 5:22-23  (ESV)
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.

    2 Cor 5:18-21 (NLT)

    Episode 145: Matthew Chapter 22

    Episode 145: Matthew Chapter 22
This chapter reminded me of a tennis match between an all-time great and a lesser opponent who is trying to stick with them. The religious leaders are giving Jesus their best shots but continue to have Jesus send it screaming past them. He is a master at debate and is excellent at staying out of a verbal trap. What I am learning here is that following Jesus takes everything that you’ve got, your heart, soul, mind and strength. Jesus used it all to live his life to the glory of God and we can too. Let’s pray… What are you learning from Jesus? Make sure you share in the comments.
