Katheen & Phil Cooke – Why it’s Important to Stay Connected to God in a Distracted Culture & How to be Effective in Today's World

What was the last scripture Anne Boleyn looked at before her death? Do we cherish our Bibles the same way they did hundreds of years ago? How did the First century Christians change the culture around them? Lucas caught up with media professionals, Phil & Kathleen Cooke at NRB to talk about how Christians can make a difference in today’s society. Kathleen Cooke is a media executive, actress, speaker, writer and is a founding partner and Vice President of Cooke Pictures. She also released a book earlier this year called, “Hope4Today.” Her husband Phil Cooke is an internationally known writer, speaker, film producer, and president and founding partner of Cooke Picture. He also happens to have a Ph.D in Theology and released a book earlier this year called, "The Way Back."

Phil Cooke on Influence, Entertainment and “The Way Back”

Phil Cooke is an internationally known writer and speaker, Hollywood producer, and has a Ph.D in Theology. He has given lectures at Yale University, the University of California at Berkeley, UCLA and is an adjunct professor at King’s University in Los Angeles. To date, he’s published three books and has a fourth book releasing in February 2018 called, “The Way Back: How Christians Blew our Credibility and How We Get it Back.” Phil has produced media programming in over 60 countries around the world and was the executive producer of “Let Hope Rise – the Hillsong Movie” and “The Insanity of God.” His company, Cooke Pictures, also helped some of the largest nonprofit organizations and leaders in the world use media to tell their story in a changing, disrupted culture. In today's episode, Phil talks about his new book, and provides tips on how to “sell” the Gospel message to make Christian media more effective and influential in our distracted culture.
