Episode 19: Unlocking the Power of Music in Sex Addiction Therapy with Therapist Jim Cress

Sex addiction is incredibly destructive, both on the person suffering the addiction and their spouses or partners. Many men struggle to even quantify that they have a problem when they go to see a therapist. So how do therapists get through to men struggling with sex addiction? What  role can music play in this kind of therapy?

We are so bless to have Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Sex Addiction Therapist, Jim Cress, on today's episode to talk to us about this. Jim explains the impact music can have in the sessions and lives of sex addicts, and how music can break down the barriers men have built up over the course of their addiction.

Jim also shares how sex addiction can take many different forms in men and what the healing process looks like for men experiencing addiction and for their spouses.

    Who is Jim Cress?

Jim is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Sex Addiction Therapist, Certified Multiple Addictions Therapist, and a Certified Daring Way Facilitator with Dr. Brene’ Brown’s The Daring Way Organization.
