Kenneth Strange is a former FBI Agent and DOJ Senior Agent-in-Charge turned Senior Consultant, with a rich background in international affairs, fraud investigations, anti-corruption risk assessment, crisis management, and intelligence. He is also a best-selling and award-winning true crime author of the book "A Cop's Son: One G-Man's Fight Against Jihad, Global Fraud, and the Cartels."

In this new series of All Things Crime, Jared Bradley sat down with Kenneth Strange, a former law enforcement officer with an impressive career fighting crime and terrorism. He shared his experiences working with three federal agencies and his insights into combating modern-day threats.

Kenneth Strange's journey into law enforcement was anything but conventional. Starting off as a high school Spanish teacher, he later found himself teaching English as a second language in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, before returning to the United States to pursue an MBA. It was during this time that the FBI approached him and saw potential in his language skills and Middle East experience.

The conversation then delved into some of the cases and encounters Kenneth Strange had throughout his career. From taking down a Japanese red army bomber to uncovering international fraud schemes, his experiences offered a unique perspective into the complex world of crime.

His diverse career path was a result of his willingness to take chances and learn something different. He highlighted the importance of language skills in law enforcement, along with small, seemingly insignificant moments that played a role in preventing or minimizing major crimes.

Tony Robbins once spoke of success in these terms:  success is not doing 5,000 things, it is doing the few right things 5,000 times. He is speaking of the power of daily habits over time. It reminds us that every decision you make is an investment in your future, IF you repeat those good decisions day after day.  There are no shortcuts to success. But it doesn't have to be momentous, expensive, grand gestures.  In fact, those represent doing a thing.  We can do better. We want to become someone better. This is found in a few daily choices, repeated five thousand times.

To help with this, here are the "5 R's" we discussed in the podcast, listed here in question form:

- Recognition - Have you identified who you want to become and what can get you there?

- Resolve - Are you emotionally invested in putting aside excuses and getting this change moving?

- Routine - What is a daily or weekly layout of actions that can incrementally move you to the person you want to become

- Repetition - Are you ready to see the power of compound interest? Don't let days pass without doing these simple things, making them habit.

- Repentance - You will suffer setbacks, we all do.  Are you ready to apologize to yourself, to God, to others, and then get up the next morning and get back to it?
