“You don’t need more time; you need more energy.

Let’s face it! There are twenty-four hours in a day. Nobody gets more, and nobody gets less. It doesn’t matter how much money you have, who your father is, or how well you can kick a football. You get twenty-four hours. It is a pure form of equality.

So how is it that some people get so much more out of each day? Energy. The differentiating factor is energy.

Energy is our most valuable resource, not time. For too long we have been subscribing to myths. Time is our most valuable resource. Stress is bad. Downtime is a waste of time. Money drives performance.

Time isn’t our most valuable resource, energy is. Stress isn’t bad, stress all the time is bad. Downtime isn’t a waste of time, too much downtime is a waste of life. Money doesn’t drive
Performance, passion and purpose drive performance.

One of the easiest ways to improve your life is to increase your energy. Most people don’t follow their dreams because they are tired all the time. If you want to change your life, get obsessed with this question: How would my life be different if I had more energy?

You see, our lives expand or contract according to how much energy we have. Here are 5 easy ways to increase your energy level:

    1. Drink eight large glasses of water each day.
    2. Sleep at the same time every night.
    3. Go for a walk every day.
    4. Make one healthier choice at each meal.
    5. Avoid toxic people and content.”

Live In Your Zone Of Genius: Why You Need A Virtual Assistant

Live In Your Zone Of Genius: Why You Need A Virtual Assistant

Want to know the best thing I’ve ever done to maximize my productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness (all while decreasing my burnout?). The answer is simple! I hired a virtual assistant.

This single thing is the biggest productivity tip and time management leson that I can give.

As a working professional, mom of 3 and small business owner for the past 14 years, I’ve basically white knuckled my way through all the admin tasks. I just figured I can do something - so why pay someone else to do it? From reconciling my own Quickbooks, to editing my own Youtube videos and managing my own calendar, I was doing all the things and it was leaving me burned out because I was working in my Zone of Competence (or Incompetence) or heck even Drudgery.

But, it is possible to consistently occupy your Zone of Genius. Once you start offloading and delegating tasks and  in this episode I’m going to step you through how to do so with your virtual assistant.

    Show Highlights include:

    • The various zones (Zone of Genius, Zone of Excellence, Zone Competence, Zone of Incompetence) and figurint out which zone you're working and living in most of the tie (03:33)
    • The importance of operating in your Zone of Genius to propel your businesses first (04:15)
    • The biggest mistake I see people make when they are contemplating hiring a virtual assistant is not recognizaing their own worth and the value of their time (09:37)
    • Why time is more valuable than money (10:28)
    • The different kinds of virtual assistants you can employ for your specific needs - executive, task based, social media, copywriting, video editing, graphic design, medical assistant, etc (12:03)
    • How to formulate your delegation task list so that you discover which type of VA is right for you (15:58)
    • The importance of creating systems and work flows with your virtual assistant (16:59)
    • The necessary mindset shifts that are required prior to hiring a virtual assistant - that you don't have to do it all and in fact someone might be able to do it better than you! (18:11)
    • Using a task management system to onboard and train your virtual assistant (24:00)
