    Ear tips save lives!

    Ear tips save lives!

Our guest this month said it best, “From East Coast to West Coast, ear tips save lives!”

This month’s episode of EPAS Unleashed, we chat with host of The Community Cats Podcast, Stacy LeBaron about community cats, TNR, and how a community can come together to save lives while also reducing the cat population in neighborhoods.

We cover a lot of information in this episode, and reference some great resources for anyone looking to start, or enhance, TNR efforts! You can find links to some of those resources below:

Simon Willis: Bikepacking the Torino Nice Rally

Simon Willis: Bikepacking the Torino Nice Rally

In this episode of the Seek Travel Ride podcast I interview Simon Willis.  It's fair to say Simon has led a life full of adventure, exploring the great outdoors in a myriad of ways.  As Simon mentions, it wasn't so much about seeking out these adventures, instead they always had a way of finding him.

Together we explore the adventures he has undertaken, from  the early days of cycling the Camino de Santiago Pilgrim route , hiking the full length of the Pacific Crest Trail, to establishing the Scottish Sea Kayak trail, Simon has an adventure C.V. that would rival most.  Recently Simon took on the Torino Nice Rally, a bikepacking route traversing a section of the  Alps from Italy to France.

What was really evident during my discussion with Simon, was his passion for the great outdoors, and also for keeping things fresh.  He is most happiest exploring new territory and he shares this with an energetic enthusiasm, which both fondly looks back on past achievements but also has an eye on future adventures which will pique his interest.

Simon also hosts his own podcast where he speaks to fellow adventurers about their adventures. You can listen to his podcast at: Always  Another Adventure

In addition to this be sure to check out Simon's YouTube Channel and Instagram account.

If you have your own cycling adventure that you'd like to share  please get in touch with me via Seek Travel Ride and request to be featured as a guest on the show.

    Rescuing the Rescuers

    Rescuing the Rescuers
This podcast is for everyone who has a passion for animal welfare. If you're a cat foster, trapper, shelter volunteer or worker, cat rescue volunteer, or in the non-profit community, you've undoubtedly found yourself out of energy at one time or another. It's common for all of us to get discouraged and question our effectiveness. Burnout, compassion fatigue, exhaustion and depression are real problems and very common when working/volunteering in those areas. There is a place where you can come and share your challenges, heartbreaks, the good days and the bad ones with others in the community who understand. The Rescuing The Rescuers Facebook team is made up of people from the cat community. We have counselors, coaches and those with shared experiences ready to help. We recognize the need for a group like this is long overdue.

    Stray Cats?

    Stray Cats?
Molly is joined by Christi Metropole, the founder and CEO of Stray Cat Alliance. Do you know how your shelter is handling stray cats that come in? Do you know what you should do if you have stray cats outside your home? Join Molly and Christi as they answer these questions and much more!

Kitty Cat, Kitty Cat (Part 2)

Kitty Cat, Kitty Cat (Part 2)

Cats... you might love them or hate them. But, no matter which one of these, a cat is still a beautiful creation put here on earth... for loving, to love, to chase mice, or be chased by dogs, to scratch sofas, to rub up against your leg... or just sit there and be doted on hand and foot until they're satisfied. No matter what, cats have a place on this earth, just like any other creature.
Sadly though, many cities or even countries don't have plans or actions in place to control what has become somewhat of an excessive population. Due to a lack of knowledge, a lack of care, and perhaps a level of greed...
In one area of Dubai however, there are a group of dedicated airline crew, trying to combat this problem. Through an overabundance of care, hard work and persistence they are really trying to make a difference, firstly with care of the street cats, education to those that might not have knowledge about cats, and through their hard earned money.
Join us for part two as we chat with Anamarija and Monika, the two girls at the centre of the Facebook group Crew4Paws, and find out what the story is with these cats, and how you could maybe help this situation, and perhaps fall in love with your own furry little feline.
