That's News
Bill welcomes Mark Hillman, Matt Reis and Kevin to the pod. Matt is a Dallas Cowboys fan and they won big yesterday, but the beginning was ugly! Matt said he was yelling at the TV then, but satisfied with the final score 43-20, Cowboys! Matt admits to ddoing some dumb things when the Cowboys have lost in the past. John Mellencamp is kicking off his tour in 2024 in Rochester, playing the West Herr Auditorium Theater in March 8th. It is to support his album Orpheus Descending, which Bill remembered is a Tennessee Williams play. Bill thinks Melencamp sounds more like one of his favorites Tom Waits these days when he sings. Bill asks Mark with the passing of Mathew Perry, what did the show Friends mean to him? Mark said it was a show that nailed Gen X in his mind, Matt was not that into the show, but does still watch when it is on. Bill and Matt have both binge watched Suits on Netfix, but Matt got there too late because season 9 is missing on Netflix! Bill asks what celebrity death made you cry? Mark said Eddie VanHalen. That takes them down memeory lane to the radio days when VanHalen came to town with the band Collective Soul opening the show and Mark spilling a beer on the front man of Collective Soul. Billâs son Jordan comes in for a brief one on one segment to talk about a fund raiser for the Robertâs Wesleyan University Track Team and how you can help. Jordan says he is on pace to break a record! Since Mark who used to work in local TV news mocks it, Bill dug up a story that does raise the question why was it on the news. Bill plays another story about a guy who called 911 to brag that he ran from the police and got a way, until he called 911. A final news story about a man and a replica missile launcher and a commercial airliner. Bill does not even want to be on the same plane as the person! Bill then remembers a friend whose Dad was the Cannon shooter in Civil War reenactment and winders why we reenact a war?! Mat amd Mark were once on a Pirate ship where there was a reenactment of Pirates taking over the ship! We close things out with a fun round of Closest to the Pin and the winner may surprise you. Enjoy!

Gone Rogue: Scallywags, Strippers, Keith Richards And The Rolling Stones
If ya love Pirates, fancy yourself a Rogue, or have secretly dated a Stripper, this episode could be for you. Or more importantly, if you love hearing Keith Richards wax on fondly about Tom Waits, their time collaborating on Rain Dogs or get all giddy living vicariously through the Waits/Brennan 80s trilogy masterpieces, which defined the direction of their career, you'll want to listen to this one. The Dream Regime is in top form with Bill starring in a new Indy Film, the Fairy Podmother sprinkling her theatrical light to eager crowds and Bob drumming us through his Punk days, lessons be damned! Confetti rains folks, feel the love!
